Well I must say I really like the interior,my only complaint like others is the pass.seat not having a up or down movement.
Other than that...very nice. Not really a complaint for a 28k car. |

For the price the aspects of the interior range from great to mediocre. Really aside from that small handful of interior critiques and a few extra pounds what else is there that's really worth criticizing? The next worst thing I can come up with is that the mail slot should've been functional and in the hood. So yes people will complain about a few interior bits and the weight, not because they're terrible but because they simply aren't great like the rest of the 5th gen Camaro.

GXP Interior
My Pontiac Grand Prix GXP lease is up in two months. It's a beautiful car with a V8. The only thing out there that I see that interests me is the Camaro! Unfortunately, the cheap plastic interior, particularly the radio and heating/cooling controls, vents, is keeping me from handing the keys to the Grand Prix back to the dealer and buying a Camaro 2LT.
I'd give anything if they were making the interior changes on the 2011 model, instead of the 2012, but for this kind of money, I think it would be a big mistake not to wait for the 2012. Yes, I know I'm now in a sporty, fully loaded Grand Prix, but I still expect the interior of a $30,000+ Camaro not to feel like cheap, toy plastic. |

I still can't believe how many complaints there are about the car's interior. It's sporty, graceful, functional, and even a little vintage. So it's not coated in suede, boo hoo.
Everyone complains about the "feel" on the materials. Aside from the steering wheel and the shifter, the only time I'm really going to have my paws all over the dash is when I'm cleaning the car. At all other times, all it needs to do is this: 1. look good, (which it does) 2. stay put and not produce rattles (which it does) 3. and do both the aforementioned things for years to come. Quit whining people, the interior is great. I know there is a revamp coming in 2012, and sure some improvements could be made, but even as it stands the interior is hardly a deal breaker. I just hope that GM doesn't mess up a good thing for 2012. Some better materials, fine. Just let's not overdo the look, and let's definitely not jack up the price for a swanky suede interior with alligator skin seats.

If you think about it we dont sit on the dam dash. Sure it would have been nice if GM had better materials but short of bashing your head into the dash when you have an accident Its not a big issue. Its just people who have exposure to the car for like 10 mins that complain. I have to admit the interior is simply one of the best I have sat in.
