I live in houston, and yesterday the temp. in the car said 106 degrees and within minutes after I started driving, it was very cold in the car. This is one of the coldest A/C's I have ever had and I love it.

I have noticed that if I putting around in 6th on surface roads that the AC takes a hit... but once I put it in a better gear, 4th or 5th, it gets damn cold....

Something to thing about for the manual owners.

To answer the original question- mine SUCKS. It's always been cool but never COLD; now it's plain old warm.

It's at the dealer right now and they are replacing the condenser due to a leaky seal. I'm leaving it overnight so they can fix it tomorrow morning when the part comes in...

mine sucks too...it is cool at best...I took it to the dealer and they said there wasnt a problem, although they didnt check the pressures, just said it felt right( it was also only 78 degrees that day). It's been in the high 90's here this week and definately not working right.

Gotta have mine up pretty high to cool the car also. But then I have nothing but windows between me and the outside air. I dunno.

Be SURE to check the setting-I rode around for a half day thinking, "Wow, the AC isn't really THAT cool...then I happened to notice I'd accidentally nudged the setting to halfway between cold and warm...I'm gettin old and stuff...

Even before I read this thread I knew there was something wrong with the A/C. I told hubby that it's just not cold enough. (Feels kinda like somebody blowing on you with ice in their mouth, kinda cold but not really.) Full blast and if it's anything over 90 degrees outside it won't cool the car. We're going to take it in. It doesn't even compare with my Vette's A/C, now that thing puts out some coldness!

With all the complaints, I'm wondering if it's not a nationwide problem.

Mine doesn't work that great. But then again most newer chevys I have ridden in don't either. My 02 s-10 with 150,000mi blows much colder than my Camaro. And I'm not just here to complain like someone stated. This is actually my only gripe about my Camaro.

I'll have to see if I have the recirc button engaged before I comment further .
