Aw you had me going for a sec... At least make sure the strap matches the leather seats and there in largest size! I guess I wasn't the only one who left early. Guess I had too many mods, maybe someone got jealous of my bigger balls

Fun Day-The best part was getting to meet and talk to everyone. Looking forward to the next meet. There was one repeating theme during the awards ceremony yesterday "2010 Camaro". Thanks for posting all the pics.
Lori-I'm the guy to the far right in the photo.

Great day! Nice cars and great venue!
Awesome day out there. The only complaint would be that the guys at the gate were clueless on how to classify the cars for the judging. Looking forward to the next meet. When is it?

It's all good man! I know you pretty well I think, and I didn't take the wrong way... That was pretty damn good though lol! What was funny was the first few words did have me thinking. You know those people that were voting our cars were a lil rude, I asked for my car to be judged quicker cause I had to leave so I was rushing them. Idk maybe next time, they do need to work out some kinks though. I can't wait for the next meet

1977and2010 and myself tied for highest points for our class we were judged in but I am not sure who won over all best in show.

The way I understood it was that the men judging the cars were looking for issues related to cleanliness. In addition, I am not so sure that some of the cars were in the right class and might not have recieved points for upgrades such as lowering, wheels, custom paint, engine mods, etc... For instance, when I came through the gate the guys that took my money were trying to figure out what class I was to go into since I have those things I mentioned prior. I heard the one guy say to the other guy "no those wheels are stock so just put him in the semi-mod class", which turned out to be class number "14". The sheet that explains the different classes states "semi-mod is up to 6 minor changes. No paint or interior changes." Well that definitely is not my car. You've seen my car and it is completely repainted on the outside and under the hood. In addition I have multiple suspension, exhaust, stereo, lighting, drivetrain and engine modifications. My interpretation of the judging sheet is that I should have been in class 21 or 23 (I think!) ![]() I wasn't around and I had my car locked up with the windows up when they came around to judge the vehicles so I did not get to talk to the evaluator. But later on in the day, Murf and I were speaking to a different judge and he was expalining that they are looking for things that were all related to wear and tear and cleanliness issues. Seems a little odd to me since these cars are all in pristine condition and almost brand new. He specifically stated that mods such as "paint gets no extra points". Sounds weird to me, but thats what he said very clearly. This car show stuff is all new for me and I was unaware of the process, but it appears that the lesson out of all of this is: if you want to get points for upgrades then be sure to be in the class that gets your car recognized for those upgrades. Also, a big congrats goes out to all of you including 2 of my friends, Murf and Josh, you guys deserve the recognition

All in all I think the show and the day turned out great ... Could have been 20 degrees cooler, but then we are in Florida.
On a side note, my wife is talking with our sales guy where we got our cars. They are going to see if maybe the dealer might be interested in being a sponsor. He was saying when he worked at another dealer, they would provide club shirts, discounts on parts and service. They would also hold car meets and cookouts on a bi-monthly basis. It could be a win-win for all if the management gives the OK ... For the dealer it's a way to advertise and get traffic to their store ...
