NEW UPDATE !!!!

tech at slp called me back again and said he looked at all there test vehicles and they all have the film on the intake and it turns to a liquid when hot.. the tech says it is from grease that is applied when installing the s/c to the intake and just to keep cleaning it off..should see it disapate over time !!!!

hope that is what it is...

Mine did the same thing right after install. Just took a look at it and it isn't doing it anymore. Probably 500 miles on the blower now.

I wouldn't worry about it ... it looks to be a non issue and related to what the SLP tech said the 2nd time (tech at slp called me back again and said he looked at all there test vehicles and they all have the film on the intake and it turns to a liquid when hot.. the tech says it is from grease that is applied when installing the s/c to the intake and just to keep cleaning it off..should see it disapate over time !!!!). I checked it out before I washed up the engine bay and it was DRY so whatever it was is really a non issue. I'm going to bet this goes away for the OP as well.

There is an oring lube applied upon assembly.....some techs may apply more than others. We apologize for the mistake and we have made provisions to keep it from happening again.

I've had my Maggie 2300 on for well over a year. The next drop of oil that I see around the blower will be the first. Lots of miles...lots of smiles...the only problems I've had are related to it making too much power...
