HA HA #230 Scares a 2011 GT. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Now I was not street racing I promise. I always get 0-to the speed limit quickly. Just ask my second set of rear tires in 17K miles. So anyway I end up at a red light on the highway by my house and I am in the left lane. About a mile down is the gas station I stop and get drinks for the day at work. When I came down the hill to the right was a 2011 GT sitting at the light.

I am sitting there and the guy keeps reving up his car. Light turns green and I just zip off as normal. I expected to see the GT running off away from me. Do I nope, look in the rearview mirror and he is still at the light just starting to move. I switch lanes and pull into the gas station. As he comes up I wave and he just has his head down as he goes by.

Guess Bee Bee with her roar scared that little GT. Or most likely he just killed it. But it put a big smile on Bee Bee's face as Mustangs crumbs feel from her grill.

Or he was baiting you to blow past the speed limit and get nailed by a cop. If a cop had seen that he could have pulled you over and possibly cited you for racing or intent to race, or exhibition of speed, or etc.

Sounds like you got lucky, not that he was "scared".

Just kidding Scott. That's pretty awesome. I had a 10 or 11 mustang pull up beside me revved up his engine, then i revved up mine and he turned his head away and hung it down

Chill. He was just sharing his story. No need to go off with the same ole' cop story everytime someone posts like this.

I'm not trying to be mean to you just calm down. Like he said he goes from 0-to the speed limit. So if he wasn't speeding or didn't smoke 'em down(which is hard for him not to do) then that cop can't do jack squat.

I wasnt intending to, I was just saying that I've had that happen alot to me. More often than not there is a cop around a bend or behind a blind waiting to pop someone.

You dont have to break the speed limit to race or be in an exhibition of speed. My buddy in his 06 GTO got nailed for racing, exhibition of speed and unsafe driving for the conditions, unsafe driving and reckless endangerment for doing 50 in a 55 while doing a red light pull with a 2010 Mustang GT. 1450 dollars in ticket fines and the judge upheld it, tacking on suspended license for 4 months as it was verified by two police officers and had the video/radar data to support it.

Simply saying that racing does not require breaking the speed limit, its an extremely broad and general catagory in which ALOT of sneaky stuff can get stuffed in.

They don't even go as far as reving because my heavy lope from my cam does the trick!!

He held his head pretty low when he came buy and I waved. I think he killed it. The only other Stang in town that tried anything got eaten up by Bee Bee about 6 months ago and turns off the road when he sees me know.

Gerry I told you I was sorry about throwing all that smoke in face that day after breakfast, still have not forgiven me yet?

as much as i love my car I would have to say stock for stock a stang will probably beat our beloved camaros. they might look like donkey dung but they are quick
