Take out the middle speaker in dash and it sounds much better.

Actually... per the factory schematic the 6x9 woofers in the rear deck are considered by GM and BA as the subwoofers.

Actually the system is not a good system. the Boston accoustics name has been added merely as a marketing tool to get people to buy it... there is little if any actual design by BA. the speakers are so apt to blow GM had to change the crossover chips int he amp on the front speakers to TRY to prevent the front speakers from blowing through distortion. (basically went from 60 -70 hertz High pass to somewhere around 85-90 hertz.) removes all the sub-bass and a large chunk of the mid-bass.

I definately would not call that good.

This does seem to help with Stereo reproduction, but will reduce some of the front end volume. I still say worth the trade off.
