How about us Indiana people getting on board with the Nation Wide Meet and Greet on Aug. 26 (a Thursday) from 6-8 p.m. at local Papa John's restaurants. This may be more spread out than a central event, but if we start planning now, we could all find one or two that would work for most of us and have a good showing. Here is a link to post your local PJ's specifically for Great Lakes region members: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94291.

Just throwing this out there.

Not bad! Any place but the one in Pendleton.

If this were the plan, the location would be the next move and one that could accommodate an avalanche of C5's descending upon their parking lot.

and as we found out at one event... needs to have access to a restroom. Most of the PJ's are take out only, no public facilities inside. It's tough to drink a gallon of water in this heat and the location have not facilities.

OK, I just went on Papa John's website and found five stores on the Northeast side of Indy:

1) Store # 579: 17023 Mercantile Blvd., Noblesville
2) Store # 1034: 7270 Fishers Crossing Dr., Fishers
3) Store # 122: 10574 E. 96th St., Indianapolis
4) Store # 192: 2001 E. Greyhound Pass Ste 7, Carmel
5) Store # 869: 11671 Fox Rd., Indianapolis

If anyone who lives close to these can post information about their parking lot and facilities, or if any have a convenient place neraby that we could all park and still walk over to the PJ's, it would be appreciated! I'm thinking a public park or simply a large strip mall parking lot could work and we could just go get our pizza and then meet up if need be.

Thanks in advance!

So true! I do know of a great location! It's the Papa John's in Fisher's on east 96th st. Though it is a take out as hrpiii said, there is a sports pub 2 doors down called C.R. Heroes and they love public servants and offer a 50% discount on all food items, can more than hold a group or gathering and they have a game room, bar, TV's and there is plenty of parking. When done we could cruise through Geist over the bridge, maybe go to the Marina or just drive through the area. Anyway, just a thought. If the PJ thing is not for a free pizza and they don't have a place to sit, what's the real purpose? I may be missing something here.

Anyway, I'm open for what ever comes up.

From what I read on the other thread "Papa John's is not in on this so do not expect free pizza". As for the Aug 26th date, I would much rather have a meet on Friday evening or Saturday but that is just me. The C.R. Heroes sounds like a good place.

Joe (chozn4service),

Thanks once again for doing alot of the leg work on the event. Please pass along a huge thanks to Kerwin (OldSchoolCamaro) for helping stage the vehicles, couldnt have gotten it straightened out without him. Can you post the survey link on the forum because I know I missed some of the people who didnt pre-register on my email. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

Thanks to those who stopped out to the event Saturday. Please take a few quick minutes to fill out this survey so we can improve the event for the future.

Time to start thinking something out with so many people and various schedules and events upcoming like the State Fair (Aug.6-22), Indianapolis MotoGP (Aug. 27-29), or 56th Annual Mac Tools U. S. Nationals (Sept.1-6), RibAmerica (Sept. 3-6) and who knows what else.

Anyway, who's stepping up? I know Hare said they loved having us and want to make it an annual thing for us and even said they would love to do it again but didn't want to wear out people coming to the dealership and getting burned out. Courtney asked me how often we get together and that she loved these sort of events.

So, that being said, it's out there. Not everyone jump in all at once and I'm here to help where and when I can with whoever decides to step forward.

Maybe even a Mod Party? Plan your mod and get what you need to pull it off and we all get together someplace and make it all happen. Nothing to it but to do it.
Yeah, I need something to add to the camaro club thread. It's looking pretty sad right now.:(

C.R.Heroes http://www.crheroes.com/ has great food! and it's a straight shot from I69, east on 96Th st. to their location. In the strip they occupy is a CVS, Papa John's and a Dairy Queen on the end cap. We could cruise from anywhere from there location. South or North on Fall Creek or back west toward Castleton etc.....

Just a crazy thought

Hey guys, I would be OK with anything and just suggested the Papa John's because I saw the thread where someone was trying to get people all across the nation to meet at different PJ's at the same time. He tried contacting Papa Johns to get them involved, but last I heard, he hadn't had any luck.

Anyway, to my crazy idea. My brother in law works as the person in charge of conducting Nielson Ratings research for Fox 59 and CW 4 here in Indianapolis. I was thinking that if we could build this next event up large enough, and this is a long shot, he could use his influence and might be able to get Fox 59 news to come out and do a brief story on our event if it's a slow news night. I think we would have better chances if he could tell them that this was part of a national movement such as the nationwide meet, and would be a great way to promote the site and the event in case they wanted to make it an annual get together. I would still be willing to talk to him about this if we decide to do something else, but I think they would be more interested in something nationwide rather than a simple local gathering.

chozen4service said there is a Papa John's in the same strip as the C. R. Heroes, so that might still work. Let me know what you all think!
