Red, Blue, and Strobes- HELP
Hello everyone out there. Recently i have decided to join my local fire department and after being voted on, i am no officially on. I then decided that i was going to do three things to my car, 1. put a siren box in. 2. Replace the day time running lamps with strobes and 3. place two led boxes on my grill for red and blue lights. The only problem is that i called the company that handles the extended warranty i purchased and they said not only does that void the electrical warranty, but they may be able to have it void the mechanic warrant also they said it voids GM's warranty also. So it seems that either i need to find GM certified emergency vehicle equipment or give up on this because i really dont think voiding the warranty is an option. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

A friend of mine has a plug in light for his
Mustang's dash! Don't forget to check state laws allowing such lighting too.

If lighting voids the warrantee then they are saying the car sucks. Who told you this?
I have never seen a car so poorly built that lights can harm it.

Read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuso...s_Warranty_Act
The dealer can void the warranty only if and when its been proven that the aftermarket equipment caused the problem. Here's a good source for lighting--> http://www.galls.com/category.html?a...talog&cat=9552 |

I found a good source for lighting is just typing Led Lightbar in google. I found tons of bumper/grill/dash lights there. I bought a few for car shows and mixed them in with all my other lights and it looks great. Pm me and I'll give you my websites I bought from. |

Congrats on being selected to the firefighter team. I would however strongly caution you about taking your car to the "scene" if you want to keep it in good condition.
