Mine is already cracked. Just waiting to srr if this can be done first before I replace it

I had a 98 Grand Prix GTP back in the day that had HUD from the factory. From what I can remember there was not hole in the dash, but the hole unit was pretty much sitting on top the dash. Somone's got to make a universal unit similar to this that doesn't stick up so far http://www.grandprix.net/upgrades/hud.jpg and better than stock 2011.

As for windshields... my wife and I both have Grand Prix GXP's with HUD's and we had to replace the windshield in hers a while back. We couldn't afford a new HUD windshield (high ins. deductible) so got just a regular one. We can still see her HUD fine, not quite as sharp as mine but still looks quite good and she uses hers all the time still. The only perceptable difference is when you look very close at the image... on mine it's completely sharp and single; on hers there's a faint 'echo' or shadow of the text at slight off-angles of viewing.

I looked in to the price of the windshields the 2011 have with and without HUD
windshields, But the funny part is there the same price.

If those windows are the same price you are paying way to much for the none hud. A glass companys price on the none hud should be around $457.00 and I did not see a part number for the hud probebly a dealer item only right now.
