I am not sure as to which perspective you are asking about this. Are you asking about upgrades in these areas for Camaro, Mustang or both?

For the Camaro, these topics have been very well discussed in the suspension and brake section. Pedders also has a rather definitive explanation of suspension upgrades and why on their Pedders Site.

In perspective, the Mustang needs a lot more aggressive upgrading in their suspension and chassis to help with additional hp and help control geometry changes. This is also very well documented on most of the Mustang forums. I can also tell you that we also have personally documented it with our R&D on the Mustang.

I totally agree with DOC on his assessment. I have been discussing for years, the importance of a balanced mod approach. With hp increases, you must upgrade your suspension to improve efficiency and control. There are outfitters of Camaros that are doing major upgrades, and in fact have shown reductions in handling capability because of large hp increases, and a minimal suspension upgrade and insufficient install and setup approach. Chatted with a Camaro guy yesterday looking for help. Did major engine upgrades, but has too much hp and is very challenged in controlling it. His ETs and 60 second times actually went down!

I think there are still lots of room for braking on the Camaro. Lots of things are being tried. We will be doing another testing here shortly with actually both platforms. Should be fun

i was asking about the drivetrain safety issues since that was brought up, not the suspension components.

The 2nd video is actually what I would expect it to look like in a race.

Think I'll go make a video of my SS blowing my buddies 11 GT off the road...

Because, we all know videos like that are 100% fact right.

It never ends does it

The "stock" ls1 vs 5.0 video seemed like it was taken as fact on here though? weird that now all stock LS1's blow away 11 gt's? lol
None of these videos are EVER taken for fact by me, I know better and so should everyone else.

Line em up at the strip and let's do this....Enough of this cyber bench racing already

We'll be lining them up ourselves very soon and will have complete data on both cars. Both cars are highly modified by Pedders. Both will have full suspensions. Both will have 19x10.5" Forgeline wheels. Both will have Bridgestone RE-11 tires. Both will have six pot brakes with Cobalt Friction pads. The Camaro is ProCharged. The Mustang is SaleenCharged??? Both are corner weighted. Both have ARH headers. Both have custome paint. These are equally matched and prepared automobiles.

We'll have lap times, zero to sixty and back to zero, 1/4 mile, temperature data and more... I can tell you BOTH cars are Bad Axx Automobiles and it is going to be be very close. In our testing they are running dead heats as in separated by 100ths of seconds.

We didn't until now. We started a relationship with Saleen last year. This car is the result of our collaboration. Our Mustang parts will be under the Saleen brand with Pedders on the back of the label. The new S281 introduced at SEMA was the first Saleen to wear the new coilovers. Those are the street version with the track version being a bit lower and firmer. Now we start at the front with chassis braces and finish in the rear with chasis braces and adjustable just about everything in between.

Sorry for the short thread jack.

It will be all out and whatever the cars have on that day is what the data will show. Having a GM bias I am rooting for the Camaro. Having said that, the Mustang might just be faster. Whatever it is is what we will report.
