I am curious if anyone know if this would go onto a L76? I have never been quite clear about the difference in the head designs between the LS3, L99, and L76 Heads.
Anyone?

I wanted the Whipple also. Just I have to wait until next year. But if this can retain the warranty i'd pick this over the Whipple. Plus also I want to get a see through hood like the ZR1 which this would look great through the hood.

Why does it show a price drop of $1,000 on the 2nd day it's offered just seems weird.

And I understand this will work on the auto L99 but is there an extra cost involded by getting rid of the AFM or VVT? This is something that is done with the tune correct? No additional hardware or work needed to put it on the L99 I hope.

What do you guys think?
I spoke to local parts manager at the Chevrolet (where I work) and gave him part # and came back and said they are available, however, it WILL VOID my warranty. If I am going to void my warranty I am going with IPS twin-turbo this fall.

What would be the point of going his route if there is no type of GM warranty? I mean there are other proven SC applications already out there being installed at shops that specialize in this kind of mod.

Why in the hell would anyone get the GM version SC and trust the dealership service people to install something that would void the warranty.

I don't believe that GM would offer something like this and install it and not warranty it in some manner, that would just be stupid and I bet most people will say away from it if this is the case.

Well hell thanks for clearing that up, where did you see that info BTW?

Do you get a different type of warranty or do you just keep your OEM warranty intact?

Thanks PsshPlzz

This is my thoughts 100%. If i'm gonna void the warranty, which I have no problem doing, i'm goin with the pro's (Lingenfelter in my case). If GM really wants to do this right, put a warranty on it. Hell, no problem if they say you also have to upgrades axles, etc. But get the business.

I would choose (Assuming same performance) slightly higher cost GM install with warranty over pro- I do trust GM technology and have a great service dept at my dealer.

All have to keep in mind that the pro's cover what they install, not the rest of your drivetrain.

All GMPP parts have a warranty but it's not the warranty you bought with the car. The question is, will this void the warranty that came with the car as the GMPP warranty only is a warranty for the actual part, and not the rest of the car.

Is there a GM rep/employee here that can answer the above question, will this void the warranty that came with the car?

The answer to that question is going to be a deal breaker or maker for 95% of us I'm sure. And I bet that 95% of us would be willing to spend and extra $500-$1000 if the warranty stays intact and the SC is warrantied.

And will the tech at my dealership be able to install or tune this SC, thats the other 5% right there.

I'm 90% sure that the GMPP warranty is only for the actual part, and it does not cover your 5yr powertrain warranty.
You will not have a powertrain warranty if you do this, just like any other aftermarket part.

This is an offroad kit and only the installed kit will have a warranty on defects. Your original powertrain warranty will be toast.
