I'm mostly posting so I can subscribe...

But will the HUD computer be able to communicate fine with the other modules, so it knows what to display?

I'm a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep tech, and in the Chrysler world, each module talks to the other along the bus lines, but each of those modules need to know to send that info. Are the other modules in a 2010 able to talk to a 2011 HUD module, or can you program them to do so?

Great work, and thank you for always taking the initiative to do these things to make the best car in the world even better!

That is a good question, GM dos the same i think as Chrysler, on this car all the instruments talk on the same Bus line, And it is the same on the 2010 and 2011, That is why i think it will not need to be programed, If i remember right the 4 pack gauges did not need to be programed, If that is right then no need for programing.

Hope that help's you out, I made a temp let for cutting out the switch opening in the dash will get it done in the morning as its to hot out side right now, I will post some pic's later in the day.

Here are 4 pic's of the temp let i made for cutting out the opening, Its that thin blue paper you see on top of the book.

Your really going to cut it into the dash before you find out if it works? I'd mock it up and see if it worked before I'd cut my dash up. Just my opinion is all

Good to know, less reason for my insurance company to bock at me replacing it with a 2011 window.

Life is fool of risk, And if you take no risk how do you know if you are alive, I heard that some where. LOL

Besides if it doesn't work the switch will look Cool in the dash.
