Welcome to the site! I am not sure exactly what you mean. Do you mean after you ordered or before? If you mean before, most people on this site know more than most dealers (thanks to all the great resources on this site). If you mean after, the main item you want from your dealer is an order number (6 digit alpha numeric most something like NH6GFR). If you are looking for general order info, search for the ordering workbook. It has a ton of info. I hope this helps!

You might also want to have the dealer give you a print out of the Workbench order sheet. It will be a cool thing to keep with the paperwork of the car.

Cool! One other thing you might want to get. Some people have gotten their dealers to write down on paper that they are going to be paying MSRP (or less if that's the case).

i plan on getting my legal office to write me up a legal document tomorrow. that was one of my other concerns. the dealer tell you there are going to sell it to you for under MSRP and when it gets there they try to mark it up

At the time of ordering with the dealer did you tell them that you would be giving them a "legal document" stating what you will pay?

Most of the people here trained the dealerships. They had all the information they needed before going to the dealerships.

One reason to watch the forums - some say some good information is shared here, but I'm too new to know anything about that......

Your "legal document" would be the P&S (purchase & sale) with the deposit. Have them total the numbers on the P&S along with your complete information. On the that P&S have them write "Selling at MSRP". Pricing might change before the cars hit the showrooms. So that would protect both you and the dealership. If the Business Manager doesn't want to write "Selling at MSRP" or whatever you agreed, I would ask to speak with the General Sales Manager or the Dealer Principal.

Getting a lawyer involved now will only make the dealer NOT want to sell the car to you.

I have been in the business for over 30 years - trust me..

I'd put the deposit on a charge/credit card. I gave a check, but after the uncertainty with GM and some dealers going under, I'm going back tomorrow and swap.

Another good idea; nevertheless, a cancelled check is still a legal document. At least with plastic you can dispute the charge.
