Will not be warrantied.

We've got multiple sources confirming it now.

Sold as an "off road" kit.

Ahhh but the parts that Roush and Saleen put on the cars are not warrantied by Ford, they are warrantied by Roush and Saleen. It's the same with the SLP cars. GM does not warranty anything SLP puts on the car and I'm pretty sure that the powertrain warranty is void on an SLP car with a supercharger.

As I stated above in my other post, I don't think GM will honor the factory powertrain warranty once this blower is installed, but at the very least this shows that the stock SS Camaros can handle upwards of 500 rwhp because GM wouldn't sell this blower if they knew otherwise.
Yes they would. Who says that this is a kit for production road cars? They could market this as a kit for race cars or heavily modified show cars. It's the same as them selling an LS9 crate engine. That thing will fit in the engine bay of a Camaro but do you think the tranny and rear end will stand up to the HP and TQ? No.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't listed as an off road kit.

Actually they can retain the Ford warranty if you purchase a specific package from a authorized dealer.

how come there are so many pages of pure speculation when the answers are but a phone call away....facepalm.
Ordered mine today and should be installed later in the week.
Like most eaton products it is of good quality and should fit quite well. No internals or other mods should come in at around 600 rwhp and 600 flbs torque on a ls3 with dyno tune. As far as warrantee goes. Get over it...
you are modifying your car beyond normal specs. you are running your car beyond normal use. if it breaks you fix it with a better part..drop it and move on.

Correct. When we sell a Whipple Ford Racing Supercharger it's 1 year/12,000 miles pending on the kit.

If we we're to sell a Roush MP90 system it carries 3 years/36,000 miles. Good deal for someone who wants to retain warranty.

Don't get it wrong, people read your answers and respect your opinion and input but it is all just speculation. Even your answer is just specualtion. Unless you work for GM or have gotten the answers from GM directly.

Some of us are just searching for some confirmed information from GM directly that answers all of our questions.

So don't think were not reading the posts but looking for clarification about this stuff.

Thanks for your input bro

We have. From Multiple sources. You can call your dealer or GMPP rep and They will tell you the same.

The LS9 supercharger kit is being sold as Off Road only. It will have the same effect on your engine and power train warranty as any other supercharger will.

If a power train failure is attributed to the supercharger, GM will not pay to have it repaired.

I can get a OEM supercharger from Toyota backed with full warranty for my tundra so I don't see why GM can't do the same.

Even if it's sold as an "off-road" kit, it's not coming with any warning that says "do not install on stock LS3/L99." And everyone (including GM) knows that it can be installed on stock LS3/L99.

GM may not warranty the engine that the blower is installed on, but it sure seems that GM is marketing the blower to average hp-seeking owners -- people that don't want more than 550 rwhp.

They are selling the blower at a pretty competitive price and they are releasing the blower now that the Camaro has been a big success. They know the bulk of the purchasers of the LS9 blowers will be people who want some boost but don't want to or can't afford to purchase all the other necessary parts when the boost is turned up.

That's how it is with all of the supercharger manufacturers: Make a high quality product that can be installed on the stock engine/trans/rear end. Going back to my original point, it's a nice thing to see GM selling their LS9 blower to the masses because it points to them believing their kit will work (at low to moderate boost) on stock Camaros.
