Darth, we bought the harness from ******** and we had the existing wire from our speakers. I just bought that system for my charger and we took it out when we got the car. So, he didn't have alot of wiring to do. But, I will ask him it took him less than an hour. He would be happy to do it, if it's in his realm of knowledge..
I'm ordering my CAI and exhaust next month. I'm waiting for the CAI intake to come out for the v6. (not patiently either )

******** kit is a super easy install and comes with full color picture directions. Anyone can do the install as you only have 4 or 5 wires to clamp onto.

Made some progress today. Got the quarter mounted secure with more sheet metal screws, got the sail panel sanded and rust proofed. This stuff will pretty much get sanded off but I need it to be protected. Who knows when I will get to painting. Also got it turned around so I can start the other side.

Other side now...

Back to dune buggy. I liked it better parked the other way! Looked like a car when I came out into the garage. The inner skeleton is in great shape all things considered. A minor amount of patching and its ready for more sheet metal. I hope to have all the body panels mounted and rough welded in by Sept. Thats pushing it but I want to get it back on the rotisserie so i can flip it and weld all the underside and get it all prepped. Its doable as long as I stay on it. Not much going on in August so I think I am good! Just need to get the welder and air compressor hooked up. The 31st can't come quick enough!

... This is like a find the differences photo. Lets see who can get all of them.

jrhaus76 looking good with the build. This is something I have always wanted to do but havent taken that leap yet. I am fairly knowledgeable for general mechanics but really want to get a car and just go for it as I learn best just diving in and tackling it head on. Best of luck getting it done.

It looks like they sell the kit complete with the harness. Doesn't look too hard. I sent a pm to Steve@submthump and asked him a few questions.
go for it DE!! That dual setup would be awesome. We have been looking at the single woofer/amp kit for ours. The owner doesn't want to shake the trunk off

Dang! I wish we lived closer because we would go. We are almost 4 hours away. Too long of a drive.

You guys are brave. Everybody would love to build a car like that, but we think "there's no way I could do that"

When I was a kid I tore stuff apart and put it back together without ever doubting. Now I would be in fear of it never working again. Wish I still had some of that kid left in me.

Looking forward to seeing your car restore (build) progress.

You know what SIM... I thought that way too and then was just like F-it. It really isnt that hard. Take your time, pay attention, follow directions and if you get burned out.. WALK AWAY.

I am really enjoying working on it. I can see the fruits of my labors!

Right now I am concerned about the engine. I drained the oil about 2 years ago. I looked at the values and they look good but I am concerned about the cylinder walls and surface rust... Nothing I can really do now, I will be taking it back out soon enough and take a look at it. Maybe Heinz and I can rebuilt it if it needs it

My 1976 Camaro was the first car I restored. I just jumped in, did a lot of reading and after many years it was on the road again. I didn't do any of the body work like jrhaus76 is doing though.

What are you plans jrhaus76? Are you going for a full restored to original show car? What engine & trans will you be using?

That sounds like a lot of fun! But after looking at my calendar, I see I have a hair appt. on the 31st that I made 2 months ago. I'm not missing it for the world! I already told hubby he's not working that day so he can watch the girls. I got to get rid of this gray hair!

show car... heck no. I am building a driver. If the gaps are a little off, so be it. I don't expect perfection but I am trying my hardest to make it a good little driver. I want to be able to hop in it and drive it to Dayton (or further) no problem. I added all PST bushings and power brakes (disc up front). I am keeping the 327 with powerglide. It wont be fast... or quick but thats not what I am shooting for. I am the opposite of Randy, if I want to rip up pavement, I will use the NEW car! No plans to do anything to the powertrain unless I have to. I did freshen it up.. carb, intake, headers, MSD distrubutor, Flowmaster exhaust... I know I am going to need help getting it running.

My intent has always been to give it to Kristen when its done. She was helping me last night and she said she wanted a Camaro of her own. She said she wanted a Synergy Green 2SS... Well... thats not gonna happen but I will transfer this one over the her when its done. I have the other 2. The 67 is very special to both of us so i think she will enjoy it. I want her to be able to hop in it whenever she wants and go... WISH ME LUCK!

It will be butternut yellow with a black vinyl top, black interior and black bumblebee stripe on the nose. We are adding the rear spoiler and corvette rallys but other than that, its back to original appearance. Not sure what wheels it had originally.
