Thanks for the info ldkent. Hopefully everyone having TPMS issues can add their own experiences here so that the rest of us can gather up valuable info on nailing this down. Your case backs up the other cases of GM sensors dropping signal. Hopefully it does stay this time!

Well, I went to pick up my car at the shop today. While I had it in for new calipers and rotors, I had them take the wheels to a local tire shop to have the GM sensors put in the wheels which the tire shop did.

You are not going to believe this... The tire shop didn't bother to take the after-market sensors out of the wheels when they put the GM sensors in. Of course the TPMS service light came on again.

Ugh. I sent the wheels back and told them to take the after-market sensors out of the wheels. This has just turned into a comedy of errors.

The car should be ready tomorrow. I'll report back then.

PS: the brakes look great!

Terri, I feel for you people that have sub-par tire shops. Only a moron would put two TPMS sensors in a wheel. Yikes!

Nine Ball:
I just keep telling myself that I have to keep after this until it's right and, someday, I will look back on this and laugh.

The wheels do look beautiful on the car. I get tons of compliments on them.

I'll report back when I have one set of sensors (GM sensors) in the wheels!

This really should be a sticky...

I was planning on spending over $1,800 in wheels, tires, & TPMS with Tire Rack until I realized they only offered 315MHz TPMS

It has nothing to do with the wheel manufacturer. It has everything to do with the TPMS system in the Camaro. It is very temperamental. Don't let this stop you from getting new wheels. Just be sure to buy the TPMS sensor from your dealer so you get the ones that will work with you car. Or, you can take the sensors out of your stock wheels.

They are just trying to be like NASA and double up on everything.

OK I see now, I guess the problem with vibration on PQ's car was isolated to his car. SO other than the TPMS have you had any problems with your wheels Emma?

That's right. The wheels themselves are great. It was just the after-market sensors that have been the problem. (That and the morons at the tire shop.)

Also, Nine Ball has been GREAT through this whole thing. He has worked with me to help me get this straightened out. If I lived in Texas, I would have just driven to his house to get this fixed!

Well for me after reading all these post and problems not just about this and buying things over the phone or internet I think whenever I put wheels on my car that I will go somewhere locally this way I can conduct business face to face, it may cost me a little extra but may be worth it in the end.

PQ did you get your issues resolved with the wheels to your satisfaction?

If you check out his car journal, you'll see that he has. He's moving on to headers and exhaust.
