Anyone that is willing to do all the work required for an event of this scale is entitled to hold it anywhere they want. Maybe we should cut Camaro5 some slack in this thread?

It is time we give these guys a break and our support as the decision has been made. The QB calls the play and we all run the same play or fail. This is no different. They need your support. Who is going to volunteer to help them? I have 'volunteered' as a sponsor and if they need more than money from me they know where to reach me.

I have mixed emotions about this whole thing. I'm excited to bring this to our western members as very few of them, were able to attend C5F I.

And on the other hand I am actually, in a wierd way, appreciative of those that are up in arms over the fact that they can't attend C5F II.

But by the same token, I'm bummed we can't make everyone happy. The nice thing about a web community is we can all be a part of it no matter where we are...

The bad part is, there is no way for all of us to be in the same place at the same time for an event like C5F.

I'm never gonna tell you guys, not to voice your enthusiasm about where you want the fest. But please realize that we have a plan in place and don't expect to deviate from it.

If we do, you all will be the first to know.

That's not a bad idea - did you know that it's an 18 hr drive from Raleigh to Kansas?? Don't think I could go any further West though, that's already a 2-day drive. But I need dates fast..

All they know right now is that it will be the last half of April. They won't know any concrete dates until they hammer out the details and settle on a site.
