That's nonsense, nonsensez9. That was hard to type let alone say.

Question? are those 6000 orders pre paid ,or just a deposit? because I think unfortunately some buyers may cancel there orders if they lose there jobs which a lot of people are nowadays by the time they are due for pick up:(

Most placed a "refundable" deposit of between $500 and maybe $1000 (mine was $500 and fully refundable) and yes between NOW and THEN I'm willing to bet some of these PRE-ORDER cars will get cancelled due to "economic" circumstances.

But most dealers probably will not canel those orders that are canceled by individuals (Did you get that?) they want the cars.

With my SS I will be getting a 30% increase in gas mileage over my current truck , which by the way is not going anywhere. Long ago I decided to live by the philosophy "If you want to to play you got to pay.)

I hope your right , GM needs to sell a lot of Camaros in order for the brand to survive , it's sad but true

I'll have to cancel mine if I can't get a good offer for my current car. 'Just put her up for sale on Autotrader.com today. Wish me luck!

Nope. THe one they sold for $73,000 will be the third one out the production line. The guy that was trying to sell his and Camaro5 stopped hasn't even gotten a vin number or anything like that.

So glad we were able to save some one the frustration of being scammed out of a camaro.

I understand that its not that simple to change things now, but I agree. They should have expected this, and they sure as hell better make an honest effort to make more SS's at launch considering the situation that they are in.

What we have here is bordering on V8 panic deja vu. Most of us already went through this after the first 6,000 were sold and a large percentage were V8s, but we got reassurance on Oct.29th, after the 6,000 sales, as follows (already posted here):
