You can get a nice blower and upgraded cam for that price.

Yep...you can get a nice kit from Hennessey w/a 3yr/36k warranty for that price:

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hpmaor.html

and for marginally more.

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hp5.html

These guys are right down the road from me and Hennessey has a great rep. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be great to have a GM sanctioned FI kit on my car. There is, however, absolutely no way I'm paying that type of $$$ w/out some sort of coverage/warranty when I can get the same or better it from a reputable and proven company with a nice warranty to boot...just not going to happen.

Just returned from my dealer (Paul Massee, East Providence RI)... Svc Mgr talked to Parts, who talked to GM: Kit is not yet shipping as GMPP sort out and fine tune some engineering details... nothing given to set expectation on availability

This question was probably on here, but I don't want to read every post from the beginning, Who actually makes this unit? GMPP re-sells a lot of parts made by others, just curious. And is it the same make as the LSA's unit?

This is some funny stuff here. It was leaked that the blower would be released as a part and suddenly there is suposed to be a kit.

The FEAD kit for the LS9 crate engines are not available. The same for the LSA. Buying the parts one at a time is expensive.

My feeling is there will never be a kit. A builder will be able to buy the blower and install it on a build.

Shops like Thompson Automotive in Wixom Michigan build complete engines for high end projects. THis part number will allow them to get the blower assembly for those type of builds.

There are way too many things to change from a Camaro drive to the LS9 drive. And why spend the money? Remember as I said in the past the current offerings of TVS 2300 kits are SLOWED DOWN. THat is because of the 10.7 to 1 compression ratio and stock rods and pistons.
The LS9 assembly with the stock drive will put out a bunch of air.

Here is a picture of and LS9 blower on a 427 Camaro engine that Thompson built.

If you look closely you can see the aftermarket drive system. Available and clean.

Ahahahaha, well I have been slammed! I got wind that there was a leak and that there might be some "chatter" about the LS9 Blower assembly. I never imagined that it would be this crazy!

I don't know where it went fom ....hey were going to offer this blower and there is a part number............ to...... LS9/LS3 KIT!!!.

No kit, no drive, no tune, no warranty and yes it could kill your LS3 or L99 IMHO.

Not saying these things could not happen in the future. We have been waiting for FEAD for the LS9 and the LSA for over a year.

Anyway that is what I heard through my diminshing contacts at GMPP:(

I would expext some of the major shops to develop all the components needed to offer a kit. It's all good an getting better all the time.

Robin

as always you are one of our best sources for GMPP info. But hopefully all the interest this "kit" has generated will show GMPP that it's a viable option...

*fingerscrossed*

It would be interesting if some could actually come up with a kit for the ls9 s/c. not going to be the cheapest set up but interesting to see one nonetheless.

Anyone know what brand of supercharger this is? Doesn't look like any known roots style supercharger. ie - Magnuson, Whipple, etc....
