At first he was disappointed about having an L99 and not an LS3. But now he couldn't be happier.

I chose the LS3 because I have no desire to sip my iced latte while texting and adjusting my man bra while driving.

Listen, as much as I enjoy picking on GTAHVIT, I have to step in here and defend all of us threepeddlers.

I know having that extra peddle and all that extra "work" to do with a manual transmission is probably more than your tiny "standard" brains can comprehend. Luckily, the people at MonkeySee have put together an instructional video series to help you overcome your fears and learn how to drive a manual. http://www.monkeysee.com/play/6260-h...ansmission-car. Lucky for you L99 drivers, they also have some training videos on: how to change a tire, how to change a windshield wiper, how to fill up with gas and many, many more.

I also want to point out that there are many reasons why you might want to drive an automatic, besides just your small brain capacity:

1. You are missing your left leg.
2. You are missing your right arm.
3. You lack any and all coordination to be able to do two things at once.
4. You need that free hand for "other" things while you're driving.
5. Your right hand is tired from your "date" last night.
6. You are used to "reduced output" as Wikipedia notes about the L99 engine.

Whatever the case may be, we just want you to know that we still love you just the same. We understand the extra care and patting on the back that you require.

not really "modded" per say, more like trans tuned...just an axle back. and yes, in stock form, the automatic shifts way too slow and soft. but i have that taken care of now.

but even with the slow trans, it did shift better than 99% of everyone i've seen in a manual 5th gen...i never missed a shift!
