ALL 2002 Camaros were 35th Anniversary cars. The ones you speak of were 35th Limited Editions, aka "35th LE's" which all just happened to be SS conversion cars.

It's obvious why these spy shots were released. They want to generate buzz. Just look at the size of this thread for proof of that. GM is probably going to have an announcement soon on the release of the new Camaro version (likely going to be called Z28).

But until it's official and I can read about the spec sheets and getting ordering information, et al, I'm still not buying off on any of this as being official. But it's good to see they're working on SOMETHING sinister.

2: Warranty and resale/ colectible value: THIS is why I want a Z. Factory warranty and factory original for collectors value later on in life.
Yeah, you can make your SS faster, but 40 years from now, at Barret Jackson, mine will sell for more.

3: Front Facia: Nice. I knew that the front grill of the Leno car was WAY to nice to be a 'one off' and I said so when the car was first shown.

4: Quad Exhaust: Others have said it, and I will echo them. A 'Dual Mode' Exhaust like on the Vettes would be awesome, also a factor in bumping the HP up on the LSA.

5: Stance: Definately something going on with this vehicle, suspension wise. I am hoping for the Mag Shocks, so that the ride quality can be somewhat liveable on a longer drive, and with a flick of the switch, you have a handling monster. I don't know if I would go on long road trips with the Z anyways, but I would like the option without having to bring a chiropractor with me.

Yes you can, it's the 45th anniversary of the date of the first Camaro.. you don't have to be in full production for all those years, remember there was no 83 model Corvette...but 2003 was the Corvettes 50th anniversary...

A development mule or a test mule in the automotive industry is a vehicle equipped with experimental or prototype components for testing. Automakers evaluate aspects of vehicles before a full pre-production car is built to find problems. Mule cars are drivable, often years ahead of actual production[1]. They may come after concept cars that sometimes lack critical mechanical components.

Mules are often heavily altered and the exteriors may be disguised as current production vehicles or as completely different models.[2] Some noticeable alterations include simple cylindric shapes for the lamps in the taillights, different rims on the front and back without centrecaps, and a severe amount of added plastic and tape to hide the actual shape and design of the vehicle.[3] They are most often used very heavily during testing[4] and are scrapped

Bingo.

This most likely isn't going to have all the final production pieces for the Z28.

They actually did. The red cars with red interiors were going to be anniversary cars and have a separate RPO code. Because the car was never well recepted by GTO faithful they dropped the anniversary badging but the car made with that combo still had the RPO "W40".

I guess people would rather have a heavier LSA that is already pushing its limits in stock form? You dont have to make the most power to go fast.
My LS7 forged bottom, LS9 set of heads and a maggie on top feels like it will run for ever with 15 lbs of boost spinning the maggie at 23k plus rpms. I would much rather have an LS7!

Another confirmed piece of paper!!!!

Holy smokes you all aren't gonna believe this. I think I'm reading this correctly but it looks like a 2013 Camaro!! It says 7.4L Super charged V12 and 757 horse Power! What engine are they us on this?! A V12?! WOW! It looks like a 6 speed too!! Looks like the same interior though

haha! I hope this is really true. BUT... I'm just saying how stupid do we look to be this excited over a piece of paper lmao!
