Lightbulb Ambient Lighting... RED?

Now my 5th gen is still a not exactly around the corner yet, but this has given me all kinds of time to figure out how I want to tweak every little mod

Originally I'd planned on a Victory Red interior (Seats and trim panels) but now I'm thinking just the trim panels and the ambient lighting. Has anyone out there converted to red ambient lighting?

If you can find a red light strip there is at least two DIY posts on ambient lighting in the dash, not sure if that's what you were after. Changing the lighting in the doors isn't that hard.

Hey... I do got the RGB strips that change color. Of course, you can just have red.

I tried red. It wasn't as bright as I liked in the dash so I switched back to the ice blue.

It can be done, just needs another LED.

I was thinking about the ones that change color but couldn't find them. Do you have a link?

Dash panels are easy, open the door, pull to remove the side panel cover. Pinch the clip on the back of the dash, pull from the front, and it comes right out.

To get to the door LED's yes you have to take off the door trim which isn't too bad. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65282

They showed well in the doors. Because it didn't look as good as the ice blue in the dash, I switched them back to ice blue. It all looked stock that way.

Right on. Was the kit pricey, hard to install?

The kit? I never did do the interior trim. I may consider that if GM ever releases RJT for interior trim.

If you are asking about the ALPENA red LED lights. No, that cost about 10 dollars, then I needed some extra wire, a molex plug, then a piece of airline tubie. It was under $20 to put red LED lights in the doors. I tried them in the dash, but wasn't able to make it look like I wanted. I may have been able to do that with another bulb.
