I made a post 2 weeks ago on the transformation of my car. After 2 weeks of it being in the body shop I finally got my car back friday, and was really exited to take it for a photo shoot at Malibu this week, after powedercoating my rims,painting my brakes,blacking out all my emblems... changing the fog lights. But some ford pickup decides to reverse into me all the way to the second lane without checking if there is any cars around...This is so FK UP !!! killed my entire week...the whole side of my car is jacked up except for the front bumper luckily....Nothing even happened to her car.... ! It came out so fast and couldn't even switch lanes because there was a car next to me

...I got HER* info and tomorrow the insurance is going to come check it out...its not like its high already not its gonna hit the roof....There goes another 2 weeks of me not having my car....Here are the pics

that sucks, I am sorry this happened, why would your insurance go up if the other driver is at fault?

If you are involved in an accident where your insurance has to pay money to fix up your car or the other person's, your rates will go up. You have to have accident forgiveness with one of the insurance companies to avoid that, however if you switch to a different company, they will see the payoff and raise your rates accordingly. The worst part is the total cost of the bill to fix the Camaro will be re-gained by the insurance company in so many years by the person not at fault if they stay with the same insurance company. It stinks, but that is how the insurance companies are able to survive and make a profit.

the other person is at fault, so thier insurance should cover this.

Thanks for everyone's comments...and yeah thank god nothing too series happened...anyways so much for a clean title...Im waiting for tomorow to hear what the Allstate inspector has to say...

Your insurance won't go up, it's her fault. Your insurance company will go after hers for the money to fix it.

I drove a pickup like that for the last 6 years (company car) and you could see out of them better than the 2010 Taurus I'm in now. Should have been no problem seeing you, huge mirrors and lots of windows, of course you have to use them.

They'll try to fix the rear fender and door and replace the front fender for $4k.
Have your front & rear suspension checked along with an alignment.

Glad no one was hurt... physically.

hopefully none of your mods are messed up because usually insurance wont cover to fix it back, they only will cover to fix it back to the original manufacture specs.
