Need Reputable Paint and body shop

Road debris on 395 damaged my front spoiler and flipped up and tore my rally stripes. I have decided to have them painted on this time. Does anyone know of a good shop in Northern VA that does custom work?

Snoop....I've used "Mr. Spolier" in Manassas park a couple of times. I was refered to him by the good folks at P-tuning...he does all of their cars. He put my Son's Kenstyle body kit on his Scion and also fixed some damage from an "egging". The paint the laid down is better than the factory stuff.

Here's his website...check it out:

I went to Mr. Spoiler. Dan seems like a great guy. He had a lot of imports there. He said he could definitely do the work. He said the tri-coat RJT color requires an entire panel be repainted and not just blended.

I went to another shop in Fairfax that was highly recommended and they didn't want to touch it. They said because of the tri-coat paint that it would be better to leave the factory paint alone.

Anyone else have any other suggestions? I need a couple of estimates for the insurance company.

My son's Scion is a color called Black Cherry Pearl (BCP to Scion nuts). It's a dark metalic red. Dan painted it after it was egged and I swear it looked better than the factory paint! My son latter had him paint and install a full body skirt kit, and it looks great. Dan won't hedge and he'll tell you exactly what it takes to make it right. I'm as picky as they come and I was completely satisfied.

Steve,

Thanks, that is good to hear. Dan knew his stuff. He got pretty excited when I said custom stripes. I am looking at going with a gunmetal metallic and possibly a cyber gray or black outline to offset the stripes from the RJT. I intend to get a gunmetal wheel with a polished lip in the future when I have the funds.

The damage is worse than I thought. There is about a 6 inch tear under the leading edge of the spoiler. The dent over the wheel is on bothe the fascia and fender. Paint is cracked on both. It will have to be refinished to prevent flaking. The tear in my stripe goes through the paint, so the hood will have to be repainted. Dan said it was best to do the entire front end to make sure it matches. I will probably have him use the highest grade clear coat he has and layer it on very thick to prevent future dings. Has anyone done this before? I know a couple of people who are OCD with their cars that recommend it. They say it works better that invisible bra. It can be retouched about every 5 years.

I will check out that place in Maryland. Thank you.
