New sponsor of the forums, and a hi from way back...

I haven't been around the street car scene as much as I used to be, but that is changing

For those of you that thought I died, after graduating college I spent awhile as a desk jockey in the defense industry designing laser guided weapons and finally ended my career as the technical head of the mechanical engineering department. Guess all those years building fast street cars helped me in the real world.

Long story short, I started driving professionally for Momentum Race Group about 1.5 years ago. Almost a year ago I left the Defense job to run Momentum Race Group full time, and recently opened Momentum Autosports- our customer shop. We are located in Lewisville on Business 121, 3 miles east of 35. We have 6000sqft, with a dyno room that holds our 224xLC.(eddy current for you turbo guys). We can do anything from bolt-ons, to custom fabrication and engineering (including Flow/structural analysis and 3D modeling). Of course dynoing and dyno tuning (factory ECU, and aftermarket.. MOTEC/BOSCH/etc). We have designed a lot of trick parts that will soon be in production for the new 2010 Camaro.. utilizing things we have learned on the track.

I've built several 1k+hp cars over the last 10 years, and just recently bought a Z06 and a 2010 Camaro that we are doing heads/cam and some other goodies on. First round of mods is timid, I expect the Camaro to make around 475-500rwhp but I fully intend on having forced induction and more cubes by early 2011. (stuff you haven't seen before...)

Our race program includes 2 2010 Camaro GS.Rs in GRAND-AM. You can see us on TV this Sunday @ noon...

We are a partner of Mast Motorsports, we install and warranty all of their products. (www.mastmotorsports.com) We are also working with AST (http://www.ast-usa.com/) on developing a high end coil over kit for all GM vehicles, leveraging our knowledge gained from racing the 2010 Camaro over the last year.

You guys are right across the way from Whiteside Customs right? I have seen your big semi and trailer (w/ pictures of racing Camaro's on it) a few times there. Glad to have you in the C5 community.

What's up Jordon? You guys get the problem fixed from the last race?

Do Buck and Young actually do any work or are they trying to ride your coat tails?

I don't know if you guys are racing on 9/11 but we'd love to have you make an appearance at Laps for Charity with us.

Ha, believe it or not Jon Buck and Cody Young work their butts off, but don't tell them that- I don't want them to get all cocky on me

The "problem" was a rod exiting the engine.. New motor will be in for Utah.

You will get to see it about the 1:18 mark. Just fyi, stock rods do NOT like 8000rpm.

Unfortunately we will be at Utah for the final round of the 2010 season the weekend of 9/11.

Good luck at Utah! You guys should come to an event sometime.

I don't believe it. I read the article on Momentum racing, but didn't know you guys were here in Texas. I was at Whiteside this morning dropping my car off, and saw the Rv, 18 wheelers and such.

Quite a setup u have. Best of luck in racing.

BK-
We kept a low profile for a little while, handling only our own race cars and special projects for customers. We have been developing a lot of goodies for the new Camaros, and our relationship with GM has really given us an edge. We are now open to anybody, 10-6 M-F.

Eggy-
We plan on having a grand-opening with dyno day on our state of the art 224 XLC dynojet sometime in September once it cools off a little. But the dyno is available for customer consumption right now
