I do not think these are production numbers either, but when in ROME, 481 1/4 842.

That would be sweet!

Wait, wait...what if that first number is the allocations authorized at the dealer you bought from...mine is #1 of 9 allocations (the number is 1/9) and the the other number will be the last part of the VIN?

The one guy had 1/1 (one allocation and he's it) the other is 1/4 (one of four allocations), etc, etc??

Then the last number is part of the VIN?

My dealer said 13 allocations so (not sure since my dealer said 13 allocations)...but he also told me he had sold 3 for $5K over MSRP (which he really hadn't once I talked to the ordering guy!) So maybe only 9 allocations at this dealer? I'd be # 1 of 9 then?

Well, if that is a #, I was 4,431 to order....and supposedly, my dealer is only getting 9 allocations (going by the speculation). So, I can tell you that the 1/9 is already wrong since Tom is not getting 9 Camaros. Now, the 4,431 could very well be right. I would not doubt at all that that's how many orders could have been placed before mine.

Got mine yesterday. I dont think theres much to buy into the numbers. Its probably the batch # for mail distribution. Cool envelope though.

I have the 'Auto Mixed AADC followed by-

481 1/3

And then in tiny print-

0000247 0100001593128

So I understand you're all suggesting the 1/3 is my position/dealer allocation. Actually I'd say (if that has any truth to it) it's My Position/Number Sold from their allocation. Because I know they'd sold a total of 3 out of their allocated 5. At least that's what they'd sold back in October. No idea if the last 2 are gone now.

What are you suggesting the '481' and the longer sets of numbers are?

EDIT- Ok, glancing back through the thread I see it's suggested that the 0000247 means I was #247 to have my order placed. Nice, one of the first 500.
