Urban myth!!!!

Love my RJT!!! I have heard that all my life. My rates did not go higher because of the color. It does cost extra though to buy RJT. I didn't care. Still turns heads every time I drive it. Beautiful when I wash & detail it & even looks good when it gets dirty (not that I let it stay that way long). But get what you love.

I personally do not like either color, but if I had to choose one it would be IOM.

RJT is essentially Burgundy. Do you like the color of an old lady's curtain or rug?

well, I'm biased, but RJT
(just add some flat black trim to it!)

of course there is not a BAD color to get, on this car!

I had/have a black car for the last 10 years, and just wanted something different and the RJT really caught my eye, ONCE SEEING IT IN PERSON and clean.
of course I also fit that model of "older generation" too....

Follow this paint chipping thread before you pick a color.

^ That is a concern of mine too. Of those that voted, RJT is second in paint chip problems.

I didn't vote, because I guess I'm lucky?

I'm at 2600 miles since 4/1/10, so it's a daily driver, but daily = when the weather is nice....

I try to be careful, and actually have a rock chip in the windshield I don't remember HEARING hit.....but after cleaning it by hand this weekend, didn't find any paint chips anywhere...

That's good to hear. I don't know if any conclusion can logically be made that certain colors are more prone to paint chips than others....

Has anyone that says this ever actually seen a burgandy car?? Because I was almost tempted to take a picture of the "old lady burgandy" that was in front of me the other day just so people can see that RJT is not even close....

Dark red does not = burgandy....go get out your color charts....
