What did SLP Tune do to the ZL327 to get 327HP..besides the CAI & CatBacks.

There was no tune. They never stated that 327 was the HP. They discontinued the 327.

Nothing, they couldn't get much out of it. So they canceled the 2010 ZL327. I was looking to get the package at a local dealer. Our engine is pretty much performing at its full potential from the factory. I heard there may be a 2011 ZL327 but I don't know any details.

The SLP dealer advertised a tune, and the number being the HP rating at the crank. Just the same as the other models.

.....You are correct, sorry I see that some ads do state a tune. Intersting even states it comes with the tuner. I still don,t see where it states that it has 327 HP though.

Every single intake Janetty tested gained at least 9HP at peak. Injen gained 15. 2-5 from exhaust? I'd guess a bit more. I mean I'm as skeptical as anyone, but I think you're short-changing this just a bit.

That being said, do I think you're gonna get to 300 with bolt-ons? Nope, don't see picking up 50hp. Might get awfully close though with the right combinations.

So would it be safe to say that short of FI, on an otherwise stock car, the CAI is probably the most effective mod to make?

I've been considering some mods myself - CAI (from K&N... love the Injen, but this is my DD so the possibility of going through a puddle with the eintake that low terrifies me), shorty headers, and moderately aggressive exhaust (I live in an apartment complex, so something really loud is probably not worth the trouble. I just want more of a V8-ish sound). I also just bought my first house a couple months ago so I can't do everything at once, so getting the most effective thing out of the way sounds good to me!
