sit down Craig... I have a STUPID question...

Can he coat my factory wheels? I like the idea of the black chrome but dont want to spend the cheddar on wheels. If I had to spend upwards of $3000 on the car, it would be the exhasut and cam first...then a s/c or something but I could justify a few hun on coating the factory wheels. I would just have to convince the wife... She like to keep it "looking" stock. You would not believe the crap I took about the springs but she loves it. I just put my foot down and said I was doing it and didnt care what she said... she said OK but if she didnt like it I had to reinstall the OEM springs. I was OK with that b/c I knew she'd like it!

Anyhow, I would only do it when I need new tires. I don't like the idea of breaking down tires then remounting them. I have had bad luck in the past with this so I always save my wheel work for when I need new wheels. Back in ohhh 2001ish? I had those C5 wheels powder coated (not black chrome) and it was about $50 a wheel... has the price changed much and how much an increase is chrome and is it actual the 3 layer chrome dip like regualr chrome wheels or is it just a single layer powderr coat that looks like black chrome? I would need to come check something they did out. Only thing is, on the other hand, I am kind of anti coating the factory wheels. If I am going to go black chrome, I want a sweeter wheel with a nice lip... I am about a year off needing tires at least so no rush... I have almost 14,000 miles in the last year and the tires look amazing. I guess driving like a girl has its advantages sometimes. Oh and I am up to burn out #3. I did a small one the other day... in front of a cop thankfully he didnt see me!

hey, any day now, I may have new rims on the car...hehehehe. I pray you don't have to go around with the fun I have so far, with a set of rims.

okay, maybe today!! I had to work late on Wed., didn't get it done. Stopped by the shop yesterday and they were a man down and backed up a mile and they asked if I could bring it in tomorrow. I said sure, it's only been like the 12th century since I have been trying to get this all worked out, what is one more day. So today, if I can get off work on time, the finally rim will be mounted.

I need to see more designs in person, on the car, then I will have a better idea of what route I want to go with. Sooooo, you folks that come to our get togethers need to be rimming up your cars for my research purposes.
I'll have to check out Phillzpeed's wheels he posted. We are going to the Summit F-Body Fall Classic in Tallmadge, OH in September. I think that will be a great place to scope out rims. There is one Camaro5 member who will probably be there and I want to desperately see his wheels and his car in person. Here is a link to some pics of it: http://projectgangreen.smugmug.com/p...48445560_tiR5F. He has Jet5 ProWheels on.

it does not cost anything.. i think there are some prizes, not sure how the winners are chosen, come and find out!!!
Ok, what does the "battle" entail? Do we have to do something with our cars? In other words, explain the battle process. I'm just not understanding exactly what is involved.

Yes it would! This wheel does come with a black center but you keep the chrome lip. They also come in a silver finish which I don't care for.

Don't like the car in the link... its too much. The hood and the grille over do it. the stance, the wheels, the vented fenders and the GFX look great. Oh and i love the orange lights.

I think he charged $100 a rim, not sure, but again, I will check.

How did you perform a BO in front of a cop and he didnt see you?
