Hey you guys should see the some of the crap going on at the other forums! They go from raving about the possible Z/28 to Shemale porn! More entertaining than a Yankee Boston game @ Yankee Stadium! The big question is, do I sell my Harley and get a 2SS/RS 6 spd or wait for the Z? *&^%$!!!!!!!!!

Last I checked, automatic Camaros are outselling manuals about 3:1. Seems like a pretty bad business move to limit it to manual only

why limit profitability? you eliminate a lot of potential buyers by only offering manuals. if it makes you feel more like a man to buy a manual then buy it. others don't have anything to prove.

btw I'm getting a manual, I just know people that have knee problems that after a few hrs of driving a manual have a hard time walking. so expand your horizons padawan.

I'm a "manual guy" -- every car I've ever owned has been a manual.. I hate automatic transmissions because they - too often - feel like a disconnect between you and the car.

That being said - my wife rented a 2SS for me from AVIS last year for my birthday. Best gift EVAR lol.. anyway, after driving the automatic with shifters for 4 days (they didnt rent manuals) -- I can honestly say I'm considering getting an automatic. The shifts in the car are very crisp and quick, almost makes you forget its an automatic. The response from the car is very visceral and reminds me of being in a manual. Plus there's the upside that if you are in stop-n-go traffic you can set it on D and just let the car do its thing instead of having to remember what gear you are in, etc etc.

Big plus. Honestly the Automatic is NOT as bad as everyone (manual drivers :p) thinks it is. Take an auto for a test drive - i think you'll be happily surprised.

I Agree, I would like to see a more aggressive hood like the one on the SLP ZL 575 Camaro-Functional Ram Air Hood.

[QUOTE=Tran;2134330]Quad exhaust (dual pipes per side) are at the rear, and the photographer described the sound from this car as "nothing short of unholy!"/QUOTE]

How do we know this is quad? The tips may show 2 on each side but this doesn't mean there is quad exhaust. Many cars have 2 tips per exhaust.

I think GM will offer both, afterall they were both available back in the day. They can't afford to limit this car to only a chosen few. They hit a home run with the Camaro in gereral, both manual & auto, so I think the same will happen with the Z28

That would be interesting, much cleaner. Where is it in the CTS-V? I really don't know.

I know they will offer both. . .they have a 638 hp engine with a manual and a 556 hp engine with a manual. the Z will probably fall inbetween the two with it's power output. so they have transmissions that are up for the task. unlike ford.

I agree, and I think this was a relatively major mistake by Ford on the GT500, particularly the vert, made in the name of 'but BMW M-Sport doesn't do it' and the fear that a an auto-equipped GT500 would be faster than a traditional manual would.

I've been watching the new camaro since it came out. I think the most telling thing about this car is that for perhaps the first time in 30 years Car and Driver and Motortrend and the like actually were unable to insult it - I'm sure much to their disappointment. Either way, I've never posted anything about this car anywhere, but if GM is listening - I have the money, and I will be buying this car should they build it. Bring it on...
