Turn and earn.....the more you sell, the more you get. Gotta love it!

I'm not worried about those that don't sell....if someone is looking for a car now, it makes it easier to trade them an Aveo for their Camaro....Everyone wins!

What does this mean to you? That car on the lot "advertised" online etc, has the warranty clock ticking, as well as the other "new car" things such as XM or OnStar.

You may hear a line such as "Think of the savings for the few days loss of warranty or OnStar".... I say call Chevy customer assistance at 800-222-1020 and tell them a dealer is marking cars SOLD to manipulate inventory.

If you are shipping a sold car or have a legitimate customer, that's one thing....but leaving them on the lot is another

So ASK THEM, DOES THIS CAR HAVE FULL WARRANTY?

Guess there maybe a handfull of dealers that may do that with a handfull of cars. It does not make much sense as they have to pay GM shortly after they RDR the vehicle.
Any inventory check would put them out of trust with their lender leading to loss of financing.

Just plain brain damage to do something like that.

It really amazes me how this day and age there is "allocation" With the crappy economy you would think GM would let dealers order as much as they want. If I was a manufacturer of something, there would be No Limits!! Order away!!

Geez, just when I thought I'd heard it all. It never ceases to amize me how "some" find a way to "cheat the system".

Thankx for sharing with us Scotty, you ARE the man. That's the way he rolls.

This may not be the right thread to ask, but I’m sure my dealer doesn’t have allocation and will not tell me.

I asked why some people who have ordered their Camaro’s after me already have a TPW and I’m still at 1100 (ordreed 7/3). My dealer answers: “They build trim levels on different weeks”.
Is that true or is it just more dealer BS?

Then I brought up that I have a GM card rebate for $1,500 that expires on 9/7. He said that they will adjust the paperwork if the car is not delivered by then.
How would that be possible?

Getting the feeling I’m dealing with a shady dealership.

Shady dealer hands down. Most likely he doesn't have any allocations, but wants you to hang around so he can sell the car to you. I personally wouldn't trust him on the coupon thing. Just cancel your order and start over from another dealer would be my suggestion.

Agreed.

They can't just simply 'adjust the paperwork' $1,500 worth! No dealership can afford to eat that amount of $$. GM will not reimburse them if you buy the car AFTER the date on the coupon. Also, if they are talking about breaking GM's rules and 'adjusting paperwork'...that alone sounds shady to me.

Also, they do not 'build different trim levels on different weeks'. I have a 2SS and a 2LT being built this week. That's just not true!

They build all all trim levels all the time. Call hiim out on it then walk away to another dealer or use one of the good ones on here. Who knows what other he is going to feed you throughout the process.
