It definitely is one of the bigger 2-door coupes out there, but that's not too much of a bad thing.

My roommate said that it looked like a tank, among other things such as the Batmobile, and I don't feel offended by it at all, lol.

It's not as big as the Chally. I have a friend that has a Chally and that car is huge next to my 2010. It's bigger but I like it. I have both the 68' and the 2010 and I tell you what when I'm in the 2010 it's like a hugger in the seats. But. I believe they built the Camaro,Mustang and the Chally all big.

This thing happens to all cars. I mean compare a 2000 Toyota camry with a 2010 camry. It's gotten bigger. It just happens am I right?

I would just classify the new camaro as "car"sized.
LOL! We actually got that IROC new in June 1989, sold it in 1991 and I bought it back in 2008. There is a really long story on here and TGO about it.

If you want the 5th gen to look small, put it next to a Challenger. They are bigger but I still like those too. Though I have 3 Camaros, I am do really like the Challengers and Mustangs. I'd love to have the SS, a Plum Crazy SRT~8 and a (color unsure) 2011 GT~500.

I also have this but its a work in progress. I am actually headed to the garage right now!

You are 100% right...

Look at a Camry, Accord, Maxima, all got bigger with time... I think the Big 3 muscle cars are sized right...

Here is another pic of my SS and my dads (Mustang) and my friends (Charger) and his dads (Challenger)

Its fun to get them all together! Too bad i dont have a pic with all 4.

Out of those 4, Camaro wins in my opinion. I just go for more sharp looking cars rather than rounded.

LOL good luck! I failed the first time... aced the written, aced the parrellel parking (maneuverability) and failed the driving!

I was so nervous, I pulled out into the wrong lane out of the drivers ed place, immediate failure!

A few tips:

1. be polite to the tester
2. use the smallest car possible with GREAT visibility
3. stay calm
4. pay attention
5. respect the car, road and the tester

You will do fine. Its been almost 20 years since I took it but I assume its still the same, its not bad as long as you stay calm. Thats what got me. I waited 16 years for that day and failed! That was the longest week of my life, waiting to retest!

Haha it probably changed very little in 20 years except for the cost. $600 for drivers education. And that's the summer special! It's usually $660. Some places are $695. It's ridiculous.

The Camaro is my fav too. I think the exterior of the Callenger is very nice but the interior is the same on the Charger and the 300 so they could have done better there. I hear the 2011 is changed. As for the Mustang, the interior is nice but cheap, the 2010+ I really dont like the back but ehhh I could live. My dad's GT is a 2007 and has a great deal of mods. He should have just got a GT500 for what he has in it. Its supercharged and all that... its scary fast, not in a good way. It can put you in a ditch stat if you arent ready for it.

In your case, look for a good clean 3rd gen from out west. Now is the time to get one. The prices are actually starting to go up but there are some good ones still out there. I got lucky with finding mine. It was in very good shape. It did need the tranny rebuilt and it needs paint but ohter then that its all orginal and zero rust. Watch for the common rust areas and they are prone to electrical gremilins but a good late 80s Z~28/IROC could be had pretty reasonable. I gave $5000 for this one in this condition with LOTS of sentimential value. you could probably do better is you looked but I would have paid more. To me $5000 was a steal for THIS particular car due to condition and history.

Last I heard, this one was for sale... LOL! I saw it in person, its stunning but priced very high!

Another size comparo... not my SS

Wow, I remember when our 68' looked like. But, it's fun to watch it come alive again.

It is fun I have been having a blast with it! Started out in 2007 as a #s matching 67 327 w/ powerglide... this is it 3 years later. Had to take a year off... moved, got married...etc, life. Now I am back on it b/c I have a basement full of parts and a ton of money tied up in a car that is in pieces. I am planning on working a lot today and tomorrow. Wife is going shopping and I dont have a "honey do" list!
