Greetings, and questions:

Hello to my new friends on Camaro 5!
I ordered my Camaro RS on July 21. The Dealer told me it would be 6 or 7; weeks until I get delivery. Does this sound about right, or have you guys been waiting longer for yours to arrive recently? The sales guy said he'd call me with my build week in a couple of weeks, it will be 3 weeks on Tuesday. Thought I'd call him then if I don't hear from him. Next, would you say your Camaro was worth the wait? Most folks on here seem to be pleased with the car, save a few problems like paint chipping, etc. Finally, the 1LT with RS package, nice wheels, and a few other options was all my budget would allow, so I wasn't able to get the cool 4 gauge pack on the console. Does anyone know if that will be an after market item, or if the wiring harness on all Camaro models has a plug on it for that package? I'd like to add it someday if possible. THANKS! I've been on the Corvette Forum for a number of years and am looking forward to being on here for a long time. A lot of really knowledgable and helpful people on both forums.

Yes, they sell the 4 pack gauges as an accessory kit (gauges/new trim/harness) that can be installed after delivery. List price is about $465 but there are websites/vendors selling them for less.

Nowdays 6 to 7 weeks for delivery is about right. I placed a deposit with the dealer on 8/25/08 and mine was delivered 6/25/09, I Wish I had only a 6 or 7 week wait!!
The console gauges look nice and are a worthwile upgrade,do not buy them off ebay, the V6 and V8 automatic and manual transmission gauges are different and will not interchange!!!!

Thanks a bunch. Can anyone advise of a good place to get the after-delivery gauge pack?

Did you get your order number? Becky can track it for you to make sure you're moving along like you should be!

Some people have gotten them from the dealer or others have gotten them from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com.

I waited just over 10 weeks so I say you're in good shape.
