yup...hit the seat with heat and cold and it should snap back. I didn't drive mine on the weekends since it was my daily...I drove the vette or rode with fam in wife's ride. Monday morning leather would always look brand new there. Now I did have an issue with part of it drying out real bad....like it had been wet...which it never got wet.

Well the OP said he had his replaced by the dealer, and seems like it's definately a known issue. I can see it starting to look worn after some years, but I've had mine for only 2 weeks to the day and it already looks like a 400lb guy's been jumping on the seat for a couple years. And I'm very careful about how I get in and out of it. I got leather because I wanted nice, instead I got "looks like crap". And I noticed it within a couple days of buying the car and it's only getting worse. It's not an indentation that will return to normal if you leave it, the leather's all stretched and wobbly. Just made some rounds in the parking lot, I've got the newest, most expensive car in the lot, and my seat looks worse than any car I peeped into. Nissan's, Toyota's, Honda's, Ford's, etc. a 20 year old RX7, most of them look perfect, the one's that are strecthed are 10 years old or older, and they still look nicer than mine. I'd expect a little more for the 32K I just spent. And even more since this is a 2011 and if they knew about the problem with the 2010's you think they would have fixed it. I'm going to go down to the dealer later today, I'm just worried I'm gonna get the runaround and told it's normal. We'll see.

this is my 3rd chevy with leather and its fine..
a simple tip is to keep 'em clean weekly with a leather cleaner of some kind, and definately a premium leather conditioner.

when i traded in my 07 monte SS, the interior looked (and smelled) new.

i just got more Adam's stuff and conditioned the camaro leather yesterday.

for the earlier production cars... the stitching was pulled to a lower spec.. they replace the covers with new ones... stitching is tighter i guess?
not sure if the material is diff, appears to be the same...

other cars also have had this problem. some corvettes. and a traverse that i know of.

GM has been handling it very well... just find a dealer that gives a shit and you will get it fixed... it is on a car to car basis...

1)the dealer will look @ your car
2)take pictures send them to GM
3)get new covers
4) replace them

all @ no charge.

I don't know but mine's a 2011, hot off the press. So they knew about it with the 2010's and didn't fix it apparently.

So were the pine scent air fresheners an option? I wasn't offered those when I bought my car?

I'm not seeing this problem with mine. I have excellent weight dispersion across the seat though and meybe since I use those seat heaters and use the leather treatments mine shrinks back into shape? I love my leather seats. Cloth seats always give me static shock getting in and getting out and I can't stand that!
