My car had a vin last Monday,sat in railyard all week.now this Monday it shows ON HOLD??? WTH????? Dealer already has invoice,and certificate of origin!!! Is there some strange chance Camaro tracking is wrong????

This is the best explanation I can give you directly from camarotracker.com help link

"6. "On Hold". This means your car has been randomly pulled for Quality Control. Typical hold times are 3 to 5 days while the car is checked for all quality standards and parts quality. In the event that an issue is found it is possible that the car will need to be repaired to meet the highest standards of GM. Parts will need to be ordered and as soon as they arrive it will be fixed and sent on its way. Some parts required could take several weeks to recieve and to be installed so if you do not move from the On Hold status after 1 week please contact one of the Moderators in the Tracking Assistance thread and we will see if there are any known issues."

finger crossed that this is not the case for you...I would imagine all parts are available and nothing should have to be ordered if this is the case

Mine was pulled for a QC check too. It delayed delivery by only a few days. If it sits on hold for more than 5 business days you might do some calling/emailing and find out what if anything is wrong.

Hey GMParts, mine status is on hold also (on hold at OSH). Maybe this means we will get slightly better cars than everyone else that is built during that week. It might be a random thing, yours is an V8 mine is a V6. Yours was built on Monday, mine was built on Friday. I guess we'll know something in a couple of days.

Atleast you are going have some extra insurance that your car was built properly without defects.

It is random, and it's not that your cars will be better or worse than any others in your TPW. Think of it as your car is going through airport security and they were one of those "random" passengers who gets pulled aside for extra screening. Yea it's annoying, but really only takes a few minutes and then you're on the plane like everybody else.

*the plane is having a camaro and security is GM, you know if you didn't get the metaphor*

Yea, what I meant by sightly better was there could be a few issues in cars not "completely checked" vs ours which may be issue free (if possible). We all know from the NatGeo show that all of them have minimum checks (rain booth, etc.). I wonder what they check during a "hold audit", it would be interesting to find out.
