Most those setups are WAY over priced for what you get.

Concur. Part of what you're paying for is the name. Of course, if the name is what you are after, cool - to each their own. But a name or being "exclusive" just doesn't do it for me, personally.

It did include many suspension upgrades along with wheels and tires and a body kit but come on. 70k? What the F!@# ever. Take a 50k GT500 and put 20k of mods in it and see what you get. The Gt500 looks better IMO too. The Saleen in top form did have a forged 3v but was still very expensive and alot more than GT500. Again you could put mods in the Shelby to make it eat the Saleen so like I said I dont get it. BTW how could anyone say that a Saleen or Rouch looks better than a GT500 with a KR super snake hood.
Lot of truth here. Roush is getting better now that the GT donor is improving. In the past, throwing a blower on a GT donor with the same archaic manual transmission from the GT and paying more than the Shelby did not make much sense.

We took out a 2011 Mustang GT Stick with Brembo Brake Upgrade during our Supercar Shootout. We already noted the brake pad issues restricted us to 1.5 hot laps.

Mustang GT 2011 Stick Ran an impressive 1:38.8
Camaro SS 2010 Automatic 1:41.4

Mustang WINS!

Now for the bench racing caveats. An automatic at Gingerman is easily worth 1 second. Once again, the Bench Racing and Camaro vs. Mustang war rages on!!!!

Except for the launch (and only if it is on street tires), there is precious little driver skill involved in drag racing an A6.

And I mean absolutely no offense to anyone.

Well, considering it's ALL about the launch, that skill is pretty important.

Correct - an A6 is all about applying the correct amount of pressure at the start with your right foot until you can floor it with good traction.

I dont know what the price difference is of todays stage 3 vs 08 stage 3 but that stage 3 that I looked at(which was just a glorified GT) when I bought my 08 GT new was 70K MSRP on the window sticker so yeah, if todays stage 3 cost the same then you are getting more for the same price but its still way overpriced IMO. I mean you could buy a ZO6 for that. I know there are alot of Ford die hard fans on here but come on. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, lets see. Glorified GT for 70K or Zo6 for 70K, wow this is going to be a tough decision.

I think something got confused somewhere because 70k is about what the P-51's cost not the stage 3's they are closer to 50k prior to 2010 that is.
