Point? 19 years old, in college, love motorcycles. I've leaned a bit on my father's motorcycle while at home. While away at college, I learn to control my friends motorcycle well enough to take the test and get a license. I excitedly call my gf up and let her know. Ultimatum: you pickup that license for the bike and we're through!
Stupid me, doesn't pick it up.

years later, after we're married a couple of years, I talk her into letting me retake the test and get a motorcycle...years later, motorcycle issues and LOTS of others, end in divorce...

not worth it! And, hindsight is 20-20

Good luck! You won't need it with the SS, but you will, well...you know
a real woman (or MAN) will appreciate your passions -- I mean, I can see her being concerned about your safety on a motorcycle -- but...there is a way to express concern without forcing an ultimatum....

The only time I ever insisted my ex give up something he loved doing - i.e. his band -- was because he abused my trust and used "band practice" and gigs to go out and screw other women -- otherwise I had never cared, it was his "thing"....
Granted....he's the "Ex" for that reason but....

Ugh, Please close this thread. I was only pointing out that all the things important to the "Fans", other people just dont get. The conversation really took place.

I was being sarcastic when I said I was going to go back and get my LT. I did not think this would garner the response it did. This a very sensitive subject and I forget that at times. I probably would have gotten less of a response if had I said "I think its funny when people kidnap children from Walmart..."

Well actually no, someone would have said "WTF are you doing at Walmart??!!!" Because the 3rd Commandment is "Thou shalt not go to Walmart."

Or "Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's SS." <---- Thats funny right there, I dont care who you are...

Don't worry man, I'm no where near closing your thread. I thought most people caught on to the humor of it though. Some took it a little serious

From a woman's point of view, I have to agree ABM looks much better than CGM. That is just an awful grey. It looks okay on the 'vette but does not carry over well to the Camaro, IMHO.

Well, that color won two contests on this site for being the last color standing.

I ve never wanted to say this because I did not want to occur the wraith of the SS driving females, but I always felt like I wanted something more masculine than my V6 ABM. I would have love to found someone to buy it. But its hard to find people that are in market. God knows if you post a V6 for sale here, you ll have 100 people posting behind you saying "I would not pay but 10,000 dollars for a V6." I tried to get relatives to buy it so I could keep it in the family. Its hard to find people not struggling right now. I also thought if I put too many more miles on it, it would be an even tougher trade in. I got a little more than I owed on it for trade in. And when I first bought the ABM, I got 3,000 bucks on trade for an 11 year old truck that was dying. I really came out very good from a financial stand point.

People do not love their cars. They buy cars to get to Point A to Point B with the cheapest gas mileage. They resent paying 300 a month, when they could be in love for 450 to 600 a month. I am so happy not to resent my car payment. On that note the house down the street sold out of desperation for 50K less than what it was worth, I am starting to resent my house payment.

Did I spell Resent correctly?
