PEDDERS Supercar Shootout
PEDDERS invited Camaro5 down to Gingerman Raceway to witness their Supercar Shootout. DGthe3 and I were able to attend and what a show it was.
First and foremost I would like to thank Pete (JusticePete) for the invitation and the VIP treatment we received. Both DGthe3 and I were able to be copilots for some hot laps; me in the mustang and DGthe3 in the Camaro (lucky SOB). Over lunch Pete had the bright idea to flip a coin to see who would ride in what car to help fuel the fire on which car is superior. I got to call it and lost so the mustang was mine. Here are some pics throughout the day and I’ll post more up along with some videos of the two cars.

No worries mate. The Nickey Chicago Stinger II hood scoop is functional. It dumps air over the ProCharger intake / air filter. The ducts in the ACS front spoiler are also functional afert you cut holes in the OE fascia.

Guy's it was nice to meet you in person. There was some awsome cars there for sure and what about the performance for street cars. All of the cars where driven to the track in the rain and back home, most SEMA cars don't get used like these do.I think Pedders just raised the bar again.

You are not alone in your thinking. I happen to see it differently. The sheet metal in the rear quarter is so beautifully sculptured that I don't want it hidden by a rear spoiler. The trunk lid is also dramatically shaped. Combined they create sheet metal worthy of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. This is particularly true when the car is lowered. You can fully appreciate the artistry of the design. The form is just awesome. It has been over a year that I have owned my Camaro. Every time I walk up from the rear I appreciate the effort the GM designers put into rear quarter and trunk lid.
For me a rear spoiler is exactly that. It spoils the view. That is just my opinion and judging from what I see and read I am very much in the minority. |

Looks are subjective, but performance isn't. And I can attest that this car performs. I can sum up the experience in 3 words: violent and awesome. Thanks Pete, and the rest of the Pedders crew, for inviting us out. Things didn't look to promising at 9am, but the late afternoon was great. Glad I got the chance to (eventually) ride in the Camaro.
