I'm sure Hurst and BFGoodrich realize just about everything everyone here is pointing out...they are not dumb. But guess what, they will probably sell all of these cars.....because of the exclusiveness!

If all you cared about was power, you'd have to be a fool to purchase this when (as pointed out earlier) you can just strap on an STS kit to the V6 and get better than SS output numbers for around 20 grand less. Even with suspension upgrades you could still stay way under 50K.

But the people buying these won't care about all that.

On a side note, kinda suprised the turboed STS kit never really made it to the homepage. Theres only one customer out there that has the kit so far (see the V6 forced induction section)...but more on the way!

Actually our oem brakes work almost as well as the brembos. According mt anyways.

I agree they definitely should have done a brake upgrade as well, especially for that price.

Oh and 30% better fuel economy than the SS....ok thats great...how is it compared to the stock V6?
50k is likely the needed price for hurst to make money - but holly shikes it way to much. Agreed, you get a vette for that price.

Anybody know whether this is the same style shifter handle (gun grip) that will be sold on the SS for the Hurst Shifter option? (RPO Code#KAE)

I like the look personally it seems to be old school looking with the redline tires. Looks lowered as well.

I'm usually the first to say that it's nice to see a modded V6 once in a while since i'm a v6 owner. But the truth is i agree with alot of what complaints are being said are true, The price is too much, the brakes aren't strong enough for the job. Above all that I see there using the M6 AY6 transmission. If you read the wiki page on that tranny well your screwed with that kinda power cause the max torque that factory tranny can handle is 348 ft pounds and your very close to that threshold. So 1 or 2 hard launches with that baby and your going to be pissed at the maintenance bill that will follow!!!

Sorry, if I want exclusive with a $50,000 price tag, I'll take a Z/28 with 575HP, 6 piston Brembos, lowered suspension, Hurst shifter and no fifty cent decals.

I think what everyone has said so far is very true. It's a lot of dang money for performance that can be almost equaled by a stock SS and outstripped by an STS Turbo Kit.

With that said, it looks friggin' awesome. The rims are a little debateable in my opinion; but, I want that stripe layout!

I think the problem with the HP numbers is just that the original story was comparing 360 RWhp to 312 Bhp (which we know to be 230-255 RWhp in the V6 based on data from our forum-goers and vendor dynos in varying environmental conditions). Assuming 18% drivetrain loss from the AY6 transmission (just ballparking), that puts it around 439 Bhp. Okay....a little over a stock SS, but not worth almost 20K more alone.
