For me personally Ive always said that if I wasn't able to get my Camaro for whatever reason, I would have gotten a Challenger. Not saying the Mustang is a bad car. I would just love the uniqueness of the Challenger. Every time I see one on the road I always turn my head or stop to look. Whenever I see a Mustang out there I never even bother to look.

It's Camaro not Camero.

In my opinion you drive both then make a decision, You can drive whatever you want we really don't give a s..t. We all think its funny when parked next to a stang who gets the attention from 5 years to 75 years old its Camaro hands down.

While I'm not a fan of the SRA in the Stang, it still manages to throw down better skidpad numbers then the Camaro.
Just wondering why?.. fill in the blank..

Why did you ask..?
Why are you here?

The steady sales of both the Camaro and Challenger speaks volumes... there's NO reason to buy a Mustang right now unless you're willing to spend the dough for a HIGH end model (and even then I'd still go with the SRT8 Challenger over that). Mustangs look like everything else out there... moms, sons, brothers, and sisters drive them. Camaros and Challengers are unique and the driving crowd is MUCH better.

I couldn't disagree more with this response. Most reviews have picked the Mustang over the Camaro or the Challenger. Money doesn't seem to be a concern for the this person since he already said he was looking at an SS or GT. He doesn't even have to buy the "HIGH END" model to get the performance he wants out of the Mustang if he doesn't want leather or Sync he can het a 5.0 Mustang for under $30,000.00. As far as so many Mustangs on the road, it's true and it for a reason they are good cars. When the Camro first came out all we heard is how much faster the Camaro was then the Mustang, now that the 2011 Mustang is out and the Camaro is not faster all you guys can say is the Mustang is not "unique". I like both cars. I guess some Camaro drivers just have to look for reasons to put down the competion.

I'm an idiot! I guess I should dump my 1SS ASAP and jump on a Mustang. I'm afraid a permagrin makes me stoopid.

If I were you I would chose the Camaro for obvious reason. But its your choice. Pick the best the makes you happy and comfortable. Good Luck!!!!

When I got my 2SS the 2011 Mustang was not out so it was the 2010 318hp Mustang to compare to. Now with the 2011 out I think my decision would be a little more difficult. The Challenger SRT8 was my sentimental favorite (father is a huge MOPAR fan) but the SRT8 was out of my price range and I wasn't interested in the R/T. Drive them all and pick the one you like best, while I would drive any of them and be happy, once I stood next to and drove the Camaro it sealed the deal for me. If I had the means I would have all three in my driveway but with the means to only got one, the 2SS trumped the others. In the end it is your hard earned money so don't let anyone else's opinion make your decision. All represent American Muscle very well and can be modded to your hearts content once you are willing to part with your warranty.

Good luck....

Hmm.. I get Tier 1 Supplier pricing. I have yet to see a GT under $30,000k. The one I drove, see above post, cost $3k more than my SS.

Ah, that's true but at that price it would be slower than a Camaro SS. Also no Brembo brakes at that price. the interior is significantly less impressive at that price point as well. So while you can get a GT at that price, it's arguably not as good as say a 1SS.

I look ed at the Challenger before I bought my Camaro...The biggest reason I didn't get it...no manual transmission available.
