Exclamation Big Spring - Early Rod Run

Anyone in the west TX area....

September 4 (Labor Day weekend) - Come out and have some fun in Big Spring at Texas' oldest rod run.

The site is simple, so call them if you have any questions.

http://www.earlycar.com/

It would be great to have some other 5th gen camaros there. I'm driving up from Houston (because I have family there). This is open to any and all vehicles. The club said they'd be setting up around 8 am, then a show, followed by an escorted cruise aorund town.

I just might check this out. I grew up in Big Spring, and never have seen this!!! I live in Abilene now, but all of my immediate family still lives there.

Cool! I lived there thru 3rd grade then came back and graduated HS there in '94 - moved around a lot, but still call it home.

Hope to see you there!

You and I have e-mailed in the past, just had a quick question. Have you installed a SC on your Camaro and if so was it some company close to Abilene that installed and did the tune? I would love to add a Maggie 2.3 but price, loss of warranty and who could do you a great install and tune. You guys are tempting about the Big Spring show but I am on call the Labor Day Weekend. This past Saturday went on my first small road trip to Hobbs,NM (400 milles round trip) did a little casino gaming.(did not win enough for a SC though) Good to see you are still alive and ejoying. n116ebo San Angelo

Hey good to hear from you also. I do have the supercharger now. I went with ADM Performance. He did a fantastic job on my car and I'm sitting at 625 Rear Wheel power! The car runs great, and I'm getting anywhere to 25 to 27 mpg on the hiway if I keep my foot out of it. The install was amazing, very clean and I have put over 3000 miles on it since and have had no problems. If you have questions, call Andy... their shop is in lewisville texas, only about 2 1/2 hours from me!

His contact info is
Andy Mages
Owner/Operator

If you have any questions let me know!!!

Time again for the Oldest Rod Run in Texas.

http://www.earlycar.com

There were 5 5th gens out last year. It starts with a car show in the park, then a police escort around town and thru some of the assisted living homes, up on scenic mountain and back to the park for lunch (included in your entry fee). Last year they raffled an engine, transmission, and several other goodies.

I can't go this year, but it was great last year.

We are looking at coming out that way this weekend to check this out. It will be good to see you again after CFII. I need to get a tire fixed before we make the trip. I picked up a nail this weekend on a cruise and will most likely have to replace the rears this week. We will post up later this week on progress.
