I bought the RS m6 because in 20 years they will have the greater value IMO. The market will be saturated with SS's because that's the "cool" one to have. The RS will have been the overlooked kid sister as far as keepers and collectibles go. My goal is to keep my RS in collectible condition and pass it on to my Grandson.

actually thats wrong, recent polls show, thats the v6 is out selling the v8... i bet in 2011 more people will have bought the v6... and in the further whats going to be more rare a 3.7 liter v6 or a 6.2L v8.... come on man... the 6.2L , because they will stop making them... no were else in the world can you buy a huge 6.2L v8 engine.... every ware in the world you can buy a 3.7L v6 .... its all about the engine...
you bought the RS because you couldnt afford a v8.. stop BSing your self, and all of us

so you drive a 1SS rs ls3? HAHA the 1SS is not an RS hence the name 1SS instead of 2SS. Do you even have a camaro??

and if its a typo on your part, I sincerely apologize in advance for being a brat.

As far as the HP power goes, who really cares. The people that got the V6 got it for there own reasons and the people that got the V8 got it for there own reasons. It really doesn't matter what anyone else says.

I have a 1SS, and there are a few small differences from the 1LT, like the seats, and the threading on the seats and steering wheel... and a salesman told me the 1lt steering wheel was not leather wrapped?? could be wrong tho... but I am positive the 1LT seats do not say SS on them? haha im just being nitpicky... dont mind me.

This is exactly why I'm not test driving an SS.

RS is just a option package. You can get it on any Camaro, except LS.

Yes, but if you had a 1ss rs it would be called a 2ss... the difference between a 1ss and 2ss is the rs package isnt it??

Didn't want to spend over 30K, so I got the V6. Great looking car with a great engine. It may not have a V8, but it's still faster than many cars on the road. My insurance actually went down, and this car gets better mileage than my last one (which was a 4-banger).

SS would've been fun, but it's not the fastest car on the road either. Somebody's always faster.

Not all V6 drivers bought a V6 because they didn't have the $$ to buy a SS. I could have bought it no problem but had other reasons why I didn't. Don't assume you have more money than us because you have an SS.

LOL No one that I know of that has the v6 says, "It's ONLY a v6." And they certainly don't have to explain themselves to anyone. Looks like you are the one with issues

In all honesty, this thread is just the same crap that's been on these forums. The OP has been here long enough and should have known better then to start this thread. The majority of v8 are going to boast about their car being better, while the v6 say why they got their v6. It's stupid. Why do people care what engine is under the hood? just drive your damn CAMARO.

Can we see this poll? the last poll i saw showed a pie chart and the SS was the majority. I'm truely curious to see if the v6 is now outselling the SS. mainly because this might mean more aftermarket companies might start looking at forced induction sooner rather than later.

Kinda stuck on yourself a little there huh?

I have a 2010 Camaro and a 2011 Camaro so I *think* I could have afforded an SS...

Some people manage their money better than others... Some spend every available cent they have available getting a car, then when something happens, they are stuck in between a rock and a hard place...

Others get the car they want within reason and leave wiggle room in their budget for emergency situations... I won't judge anyone for spending the extra money to get the SS... I just didn't see the need to spend an extra 10K for 88HP....

The V6 has more than enough power for daily driving needs... Anyone who says it does not, is just thumping their own chest to make themselves feel better....

Oh gawd..... Grow up already... Who am I going to be explaining "it's just a V6" to? And why the heck do I care what they think???

Some people really just crack me up....
