No....Hurst doesn't accept the stock knob (which would look funky even if it did) but there are others like MGW that do.

I would suggest that you try to meet up with someone local that has one and give it a try. I personally hate the stock knob....if feels like I was trying to shift something that had a softwall on top of it. Put your hand on the small round knob of an aftermarket shifter and I bet that alone will make you want to swithch.

Personally, I went with the MGW and Race Knob. It feels 150% better in my hand versus the stock knob and pretty much everyone that has felt it agreed. That doesn't even include the actual feel of the shifter as I go through the gears. Much more positive and the spring pushes the shifter into the center which makes speed shifing from 2 - 3 a breeze.

To me and aftermarket shifter (especially MGW becuse it changes the whole shifter an not just the shaft) is ABSOLUTELY worth it!

The aftermarket Hurst shifter can use the stock knob.

The kit comes with two sticks, one for the Hurst ball and one for the stock knob. You decide which one you want to install.

Looks good.

I have the Hurst Shifter but I am using the Baton Shift Knob and love the combination.

BTW: you can get different knobs from MGW. They make a round knob, gripper knob, race knob, or you can use the factory knob.

Sorry.....not trying to jack the OP's thread. Many people like the Hurst and there is nothing wrong with it. Just do your research and pick the best sifter for you. It happens to be the MGW for me.

I love mine also. I ended up using the White knob with the kit because I ordered the black knob separately and it came twice without the HURST name inscribed on it.

My bad....

I was thinking of the chrome stick. Forgot about the other stick in the pkg.

It won't fit on the chrome stick that says Hurst.......hopefully I got that right.

I love the black ball on yours, I had one originally on my Stang but it got stolen and I grew to love my "temporary replacement" white cue-ball. One of my favorite parts of the Hurst was the vibration - after a while, you could tell what rpm you were at just by the shifter. Also, free hand massages while you were driving. I hope you enjoy it! I've been drifting back and forth and even went to the dealer to price the Hurst.

Looks good. I like how it has that retro look like the old school style shifters.

Personally I like the stock shifters in these cars myself. I find 2-3 really easy to do in the 2010's.

Do you guys have any issue when you shift from third to fourth at WOT sometimes? I kept my stock stick and I do not know if it’s the reason?
