this thread was flame bait from the start.

Nothing wrong with owning a V6 Camaro. Especially with the v6s of today. They are a hell of a bargain.

Seriously, dude, you're a friggin drama queen. Get your panties out of your crack. I asked a serious question and nowhere did I imply someone couldn't afford a V8.

For the record, I didn't take offense to what the OP started this thread with. Just wanted to put that out there. kthnxbi

if you had a spare $1M, would you have gotten the SS? or would you save/spend that money for other things in life? not that you couldn't afford it before.

You said you had or have a 95 m3 that would spank the v6 camaro. I just proved you wrong...but ok.

Again, no one said anything about what you could or could not afford. I said if they were equally priced. Period. Do not read anything into it because I intentionally didn't mention the word "afford". Lots of people that currently drive a 6 could afford an 8, but it wasn't worth the price difference.

You would not be saving any money if you chose the V8 in my hypothetical.

I'm thinkin' maybe a CVT Transmission with Paddle shifters in a Hybrid four cylinder - Turbo Charged Camaro. Would put all of this to rest!

Of course it would have to look like a Prius to get off the Visibility issues!

Yeah, that's it completely out of the V-6 vs V-8 and Auto versus Manual arguements.

Sure, I'd get an SS... but that's if I had a "spare $1M". But I live in the real world and work for my money, therefore I choose to save it because I don't plan on winning the lottery anytime soon.

I guess i don't understand this arguement. That's like asking, if the price was equal, would you pick the v8 camaro or a lambo or ferrari.

Actually, my insurance rate for my 1SS is identical to my rate for my wifes 1LS. Insurance costs are the same for both cars here, but the cost of fuel is different. 1LS runs on 87, 1SS needs at least 91. Mine requires 93 for the tune that's in it.

Let them take something most people shy away from and do something. Then talk.

It's not an argument, but several people have gotten offended because someone dare suggest that they got a V6 for financial reasons when the fact is, most people did get V6 because of financial reasons.

For the record, I'd get the Camaro. I don't like anything about the way the others look, and my Camaro goes plenty fast enough. Just remember that if my hypothetical were true, the V8 (and in your analogy the lambo and the ferrari) wouldn't be "worth more".
