What I'm trying to say goes along with what we have both said. It's easier to bolt on horsepower to the LS series due to the market. Again, like in my first response to you, how many companies provide forced induction for the LS series? For the LLT? It's lopsided, and yeah, IMHO, that means one is taking the easy road to bolt on horsepower heaven with the LS series, be it LS3 or L99. Also included is the fact the LS is old technology vs the new stuff in the LLT. Our ECM is a bitch compared to yours, which is why we have one tuner, vs how many for the v8 crowd? As to the actual work involved, I don't think it's any harder one way or the other when it comes to installing something. Engine bays are the same, we have a bullshit hard coolent line on the passenger side header a bit of a bitch. Again, I'll give the nod to the market loving the v8 more, and has for awhile, ~70 years or so, like you said. But the v6s aren't a joke. With some tweaks and in the case of ROD1, a 100 shot, low 12s, maybe high 11s aren't out of the question. With my modest mods, I've stayed in the door of an LS3 in the 1/8th, although I know in a full on 1/4 it would have looked bad for me, lol. In the end, that's why I say it's wimping out modding the LS3/L99. It's been done countless times, there really isn't much more to learn, gain or do different. There isn't a challenge in building the v8 cars, it's all been done before. Not so with the v6 guys. Okay, I'm done rambling. |

Where are you getting $10K difference? It's more like 7K, but that's MSRP. You can get it for even less than that.

No, I didn't pay close enough attention. How did it go from 28 (actual rating from Chevy.com) to 29? Are you making things up?

When it comes to this argument, v8 vs v6, yes, that's wimping out IMHO. Hopefully that clarified it some, although I'm sure that doesn't help. So proceed with the ass whooping I'm about to receive, lol. I set myself up for it, although, I won't back off the point I was trying to make.

. I understand the point you're trying to make, I just hope the next time you try to make it it's planned out a bit better . That being said, I have personally never touched an LS engine so this is still very new and fresh to me. |
