Actually yes, I would consider Saleen a traitor. He talked a LOT of BS about the Camaro after the concept came out and now he makes them. Anything for a buck, I guess...

LOL......I felt like a traitor when I changed my mind from a Camaro and went with Mustang. It was hard looking my 99 in the headlights (felt like she knew).

But in the end, I am very happy with my purchase. It took (and still takes) getting used to. Whenever I pull next to another Mustang, I feel like I must put it in its place......then I realize I am "one of them" now.

Mustang is a great car, you wont be disappointed.

I'm a little brand loyal. I don't think, I'd ever own a mustang. But you will never hear me say it's a bad decision to own one.

it has earned it's place in muscle car history.

If I had the money for a 5.0 while already owning a Camaro, I wouldn't turn it down.
5.0's a beast of a car, and having gotten the opportunity to sit in one (dad works for a Ford dealer), it's definitely got me wondering how it drives.
You'll be a traitor in the eyes of a Camaro enthusiast, but to a car enthusiast, you are a lucky SOB.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- you get no hate from me for wanting an American Muscle Car. I didn't buy a Mustang because I'm too freaking tall to fit in one, and I didn't buy the Challenger SRT-8 because it was too much money, so I have a Camaro. The Camaro was the perfect car for me both price and comfort wise, but you might find something else that makes you happy. I say roll with it man.
