Thumbs down GM and white paint ?

I just had my oil changed at the dealer (free 1st service) and they had 2 ZR1's in the showroom. The white looked better than the blue but when I looked closer, the hood had a slightly different shade of white. WTF? $124,000 and they can't get the paint right?

The rest of the car was perfect...fit and construction was spot on, so was the paint. But that hood...yuck.

But your Camaro has issues with the front and rear fascias plus the gas cover, right? Those are different materials (plastic and steel). The ZR1 hood is the same fiberglass as the body, no?

The ZR1 is a mix of fiberglass and carbon fiber. It's difficult to match colors on different materials sometimes, and white is one of the worst. They should be able to handle it though especially for the price. Luckily my Camaro seems to be pretty nicely color matched.

I've got the summit white and the front/rear bumpers and gas cap have a yellowish tint compared to the body. I will be going to the dealer to complain about this.

What kind of quality control is this??!?!?
