Richmond Gears 4.10

Hi every one, I am thinking to get Richmond Gears 4.10 but I do not know how easy and accurate the installation will be Has any one tried it before?

Any information and advice are highly appreciated.

Pretty normal for any gear change.

The installation is not something we recommend doing yourself unless you have experience. Even for someone who knows what they are doing it is a very involved 8+ hour job. Going to a more aggressive gear set makes a huge difference in these cars but its not a DIY mod.

I agree that a gear change is not something that a novice should attempt. My 4.10 install took about 4 hours.

How do you feel after the gears? Any regrets?

Any gear whine with 4.10's in these cars?

In my personal experience with Richmond 4.10's I ended up with slight gear whine in my 69 Camaro 12 bolt (twice). May have been my installer, who knows? After the second install I just left it alone and it has never gotten any worse.

Some have reported additional gear noise but none so bad that it was a problem. The installation can have a big impact on it.

Can you do the installation for new differential and ship it to me? I think its better to keep my stock gear incase something wrong happens.

PM for price. Thanks,
