I had the same issue. Purchased the SCT 3400 tune and it solved my issue. I still have a popping sound, but many on the site has said that is normal for the corsa/kooks set up. I spoke to my dealership prior to doing the headers and they said it will not void my warranty. Im not too sure if the tune will. Good luck.

There is a lengthy thread about this here on the forum....basicly if there is a problem with the car and it has been flashed........
I would love a tune , and a cam.........in a couple years maybe.
I think it is definitely known that the V8 will keep record of modified flashes....but our one and only tuner for the V6 has stated that so far he has not seen any evidence of this on the V6. So he does offer the option to save and revert back to your stock tune. Whether thats true or false...well who knows, but I thought it should be mentioned.

Waste of time? I don't really think so. V6ers are getting sweet gains with LT headers , and from the dynos I've seen, a tune only seems to give a couple more ponies...if that. But I'm not saying tunes aren't worth it either, just saying that headers alone are not a "waste".

His won't do you any good, he has the V6 and you and most of the people that posted to this have the V8.

and i am starting to give up on it, if there any real solution other than a tune.

I just feel like crashing my car into JBA company!
Most of the time when nothing seems to go right the best thing is to step back [like take a break] and clear you mind out , then with a fresh head one can see this all thing was just a mirage then boom the problem was never a problem it's that simple , and you will look back and just laugh at yourself, wow in what was i thinking , good luck man !!!

You just need a tune. You'll get more power out of your camaro plus the check engine light will go away

I tried the 2 non foulers and thet got rid of my cat converter codes, but caused another code. I did not drill out the fouler like in this link, so I will try it and see what happens.

I hate taxes but I'm not quitting my job.

So ask youself why you put them on in the first place. If that reason is still important to you then get a tune and keep them. If not, go back to stock.

I would guess the OP went with shorties in hopes of not getting a cel and not needing a tune. Haven't people ran them with no cel's before? One of the reasons I haven't went with headers yet is due to the fact only one place is doing tunes. I think the cost of the tune is ok but what they are charging for the cable is nuts. You guys should really lighting up on the OP. I'm sure the 15 posts saying "get a tune" doesn't make him feel any better.

At this point a tune is prolly your best option. I added gaskets to mine and i haven't had a CEL in months. And mine is a daily driver for 88 miles if i just go to work and back home. I didn't need a tune to get rid of it.
