So I was driving home from work yesterday and basically the question came across my mind. Personally I am just curious, do you guys drive faster trying to get to work or trying to get home afterward? For those of you unemployed it still applies to school or really just anything.

Usually a little bit of both, but mostly coming home from destination.

Yeah I agree. I think a lot of people are like that in society today. We like to be on our own time. I mean, it makes sense to me.

Depends on if I'm running late for work, lol. Usually, I'm never running late for home!

I'd say though, I like to spend my 30 minute drive going home as a bit of unwind time. Probably a bit more leisurely then and it's me time. Of course, that can lead to bouts of heavy foot if there is no traffic, just to enjoy the Camaro!

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. It's a little hard to be late for home

I bet unwinding in a car like the Camaro is pretty satisfying. I drive a 99 Mercury Cougar as my daily driver so I definitely don't get the same reaction from the road as you would. But I definitely see why you would consider the ride home as "me time" as much as I would consider being home as "me time".

The Camaro, while endless fun, is no 65 Corvette!! Lol, what I would give for my ride home to be in that classic beast!!!

Anyway, the ride home, to me, is valuable. Zero stress. Work is over, have yet to see what awaits on the home front. The boy and wife are precious, and I don't want them to have to share my stress from work. So I unwind before I get there, and all is good!

The Vette is definitely a gem. One day I hope to own it all to myself. But yeah the more I sit here at my desk and read about driving home, the more it makes me want to get on the highway with the windows rolled all the way down blasting Led Zeppelin whilst choking down a cigarette.

That's true though; I bring a good chunk of stress home if I don't properly unwind on the way back, and you definitely don't want to bring that home to the girlfriend (in my case, as opposed to wife hehe).

Faster when heading to work. I like to unwind and enjoy my ride home after a long day. I rarely rush when heading home.

Also depends on traffic, if I can go at my own pace and not a bunch of idots on the way.....

Even if I leave on time I try to get there early (or earlier)!

I think it comes from being in the military before; "hurry up and wait"!
